We called in to the Dragon whilst staying in the area on the hope of having a meal. Unfortunately we chose a busy night when they had the Mayors Ball and a hen party so we settled for a drink. The staff were very pleasant and helpful ,service good and we enjoyed a drink in the lovely comfortable lounge . Would certainly visit again when in the area and this time book a table in advance.

We stayed here for a night recently. The room was very comfortable and clean. We ate in the hotel restaurant and the food was excellent. We would definately recommend and stay again. This hotel was good value for money.

We stayed here with friends this week. The staff were so friendly and helpful and nothing was too much trouble. We had a small problem with our radiators which was attended to as soon as we reported it. The food was of a high standard and the menu was very extensive. Cooked and served to a high standard. Good selection of wines and beers. Montgomery itself is a lovely small town and the castle is worth a visit just for the stunning views. Lots to do in the area especially if you like walking. The Owners must be proud of what they have accomplished and it can only get better as they are still upgrading. Definitely worth another visit

Room Tip: Rooms at the front are better and only traffic is those who park in the square

An enjoyable two night stay, very comfortable and relaxing. Set in a lovely picturesque village, lots to see and explore.
Positives are plenty: Good hearty food in the restaurant/bar. Well stocked bar with a good selection of whiskey and gin. Our room was a good size and spotless. Swimming pool is a bonus.
A few negatives: Old building so our shower was hit or miss. One afternoon we overheard swearing and shouting coming from the backdoor/open window of the kitchen.
Breakfast standard nothing memorable. Don't let this put you off, it really is a lovely friendly place.

Last minute booking for Mothers day but they were SO accommodating! Service was second to none, food was fantastic with very generous portions and even though it was Mother day and the place was busy service was fast!

Looking forward to visiting again in the near future!!
