Went for lunch today, was not as good as it used to be. Have been many times before and always had a good meal. Small menu, not much choice for vegetarians. Waited ages for puddings and had to ask for them. Mine was cold and no custard( had run out). Used to be so busy there but lots of empty tables today. Unfortunately we will not be returning

We were told it had changed hands, but were still willing to give a try! When we arrived, they were very slow at serving us at the bar and very flippant, we were told where our table was. After waiting 15 minutes we asked for drinks. Then we waited 45 minutes for the food, we were told the sauces were over there if you want any!! mine was good but my husband couldn't eat his pie. My sister in law said hers was ok. The best part was they didn't have any beer until after Easter.
The staff had no idea how to serve people or how to address them, they needed a good kick up the pants and lots of training.
Shame Tony has gone. We won't be returning.

Been going to The Hunters for years, you knew what the food would be like, not brilliant but you get what you pay for. Tony was there to find you a table if necessary and was always eager to please. Now the pub has been sold we tried it out this week. All I can say is it's a joke, they'll never cope and why change the menu!! Food and service was awful. If it ain't broke don't mend it!! Won't be going back!!

The Hunter's Inn has just been sold and has a new management team. Tony has gone (shame, as he ran the place). All the best Tony. My wife and I had a meal a couple of days ago which was not quite as good as previously. We are regulars and local but the place was very quiet that evening. We overheard the new manageress chatting about how they were going change things and how to "divvy up" the tips. Possibly not to be discussed in earshot of the customers! We don't tip anyway and there was no loyalty card offer any more. My recommendation: This has been a successful business, DO NOT change a thing if you want you customers to remain loyal.
