Floripa is a big place and there are many places to stay, so choose where you want to be for why you want to go. Here was a pretty good location. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The atmosphere was very good. The food was absolutely amazing (R$20/night) with a different dish each night, all tasty and well balanced, especially for the malnourished traveler. The bar has a great view. There are lots of trips to clubs like P12, Warung and Green Valley (latter very much worth it)

On the negative side; Dorms are very basic (no AC) and I slightly feared for my possessions although nothing did go missing. The bar shuts very early most nights and unless you go on a trip or are with lots of friends this can be a pain. There is a nearby bar and the beach at night, but neither are designed for backpackers. Also, it was very frustrating that there is not a drinks fridge at the 24h reception as this means you have to go back to the other side of the bridge at night to get water or other drinks. Perhaps the owners could think about this as there is space and are 24/7 staff to help with it.

Over all rating was good though. I would stay again.

Room Tip: Try going in a 2 man if possible. I think they all have AC

My friend and I had booked a private room there for one week but decided to extend our stay to 2 weeks and a half after seeing how amazing this place is! Perfectly located in front of a small beach, the view of the ocean from the hostel is incredible. The staff is sympathetic and helpful, the installations are kept clean always, the food is good... I would go back anytime!

We definitely enjoyed our stay at the Barra Beach Club and where sad to leave. On arrival it already was nice because they wouldn't leave us standing with our bags but made sure we took them off and even helped carrying them to the room.
With a beautiful view on the (almost) private beach, sea and mountains it was a perfect start of every day. Because there are no cars on this part of the island, we only could hear the sound of the wind and sea at night! The crew makes sure it stays that way, in a very relaxt way.
Breakfast was just great with fruits and fresh juice.
Staying there we could use the surf-equipment for free which made it a really good value for money.
Every evening, every guest gets a free Caipirinha at the bar and a really good one too!

The supermarket, other shops and the busstop are only a couple of minutes walking.

There are 2 things that really need improvement:
1. If the hostel would invest a little bit of money on a good wifi-router, so much guests would be so much happier. On a rainy day/week a good internet connection is mandatory, even in paradise ;-)
2. The washing facility is really bad and definitely needs an upgrade. If you want to save money and do the laundry yourself, forget it.

All in all, the hostel was absolutely incredible and I would love to go back there one day! Definitely recommended!

This hostel is a true gem! Stunning ocean view, nice bay downstairs, great cocktails AND free watersport equipment. The staff was really helpful as well and organize nice trips to e.g. the P21 pool party. The rooms are nice and clean as well and the atmosphere was nice and chillaxed.

A great dinner was cooked daily by the in-house chefs and offered for a decent price in the roof top restaurant where one could watch the sunset with a free carparinha. :)

I highly recommend this hostel to anyone visiting Floripa!

Firstly, the view is amazing ! The staff are super friendly and very genuine. We stayed in a twin private room, with our own view of the beach from the balcony. The beds are really comfy, the room was kept very clean the only problem was the Mosquitos. The food, is hands down the best food on the island! Each night we couldn't wait for our dinner it was that good.
They had surfboards that were free to rent for the day, aswell as some laptops they have at reception that you can use. They have everything you need and the people who stayed there too were great.
I would highly recommend to stay at this place, after leaving we went to Bolivia and we were even considering going back to Florianopolis to stay here because it was so good.
