This hostel is amazing! As soon as you arrive you can see the sea few metres from you and just few steps down you reach the beach. The localization, the atmosphere, the price, the view, the place, the cleaning and the food (dinner prepared by an italian chef) they are all great, but the staff is over the best! They are all there to help you and as soon as you see you are friend of everyone who works there. The bar closes at 11 PM, but after that you can buy your own drink and go to the beach in front of the hostel or go to a bar near there where you can listen to samba, forró and reaggae. The staff also arranges transfer for you if you wanna party in the famous nightclubs on the other beaches of the island. Just be prepared to face a bit of traffic in the high seasons.
It´s the perfect place to meet new friends and travellers from any part of the world. Enjoy it!

Great service, great food, fantastic view, good rooms and helpful and friendly staff. Worth a stay if you are in Floripa. The staff are great with arranging events and parties in the area. I will surely visit them again.

The worst thing about this place is having to catch two buses to the main bus station- it makes it very hard to bring yourself to leave!

The views are amazing and it's located right in front of a small beach but just a quick walk away from the main beach of Barra da Lagoa. So many great things- kitchen, free boards, laptops, chef's lunches and dinners, and a free caipirinha each day which really gets everyone up to the bar and same with the breakky (it's worth getting up for).

The staff are fantastic- super friendly and helpful. They make an effort to learn everyone's names and always have good suggestions. Ale and Maru both took us on hikes around the island which was awesome.

Definitely recommend this hostel if you're heading to Barra da Lagoa

This is probably one the nicest hostels I've stayed in! It's practically on the beach with amazing views. The staff were exceptionally helpful at all times and spoke perfect english. The atmosphere is very chilled out making it super for a relaxing few days. Breakfast is super and the dinner in the evening was really good.

Minor negatives: Room was very small.

In this part of the Island there is no better place to stay (especially when its not high season) - I was there for 10 days and people kept leaving their hostel's or pousda's to come stay here.

The free surfing kit and location is amazing (slightly worn out but that's the same if you hire) and the breakfast/lounge/bar building is a terrace with a great view of the beech, so you can check out the days surf while loading up on fruit, and cheese toasties and coffee before you hit the beech for the day.

Staff speak many languages and are super friendly and helpful. Good atmosphere as they arrange group events over the week - boat trips, bonfire on the beach etc.

Bonus is laptops etc to borrow if you need to book something, my phone is terrible for bookings flights so that was a great surprise.

Its an easy bus ride to town or a quick bus to the nearest bigger town and from there boats and buses most places - the staff will write you the times and busses to take :-)

The FOOD IS AMAZING!! compared to the local offerings you need not leave the hostel, 3 items on the menu (1 veg) each cooked fresh for a good price.

Would defiantly go back if I was in the area again, if only to say hey to the guys I met working there!

Oh and because its across a wee river, the foot bridge access means there is no noise from cars here.

Room Tip: Dorms are cheaper but the twin rooms though small are much quieter and comfy (there are some local night spots in the near by town which means groups going out late come back very late) - but in the off season dorms aren't full so pretty good.
