I contacted Belum Rainforest Resort after seeing that they required group bookings of 10 or more (after nearly 9 months of Covid disruptions, I totally understood why!). The lovely Abby comminucated with me over whatsapp, was attentive, responsive and really great at catering to all my groups needs. 16 of us ended up staying for the 3d/2n package is the Azlani rooms which were beautiful, with seriously comfy beds (we are planning to come back again though to try out the 18 person villa!). The staff at Belum made our stay so enjoyable, the food was plentiful and delicious, Wy and Abby were always around to answer any of our questions and despite some of the resort being closed for renovations we still had a wonderful time in the large dining hall and using one of the villa's pool. Abby even went out to secure me a birthday cake for one of our friends, complete with staff singing happy birthday as well. Our excursion day was spent largely in torrential rain, but Raul and Hafiz were excellent guides, informative and caring (especially with some of our leech episodes haha) and did a wonderful job out on a wet boat all day despite not feeling great themselves. We loved our bamboo rafting and will definitely be down to come back and enjoy the beautful views from the pool and sunset decks in some sunnier weather. This resort is gorgeous, our rooms were modern and well maintained, the resort has lots of places to explore, it feels like you're still part of the jungle without the creepy crawlies and 'roughing it' you sometimes have to experience, and the packages they offer are very reasonable for such a lovely spot.
