Steve and Rita made our family trip to Costa Rica enjoyable and memorable. What was most impressive is the quality and service they provide! Everything they do has one common theme - excel in the customer experience. They both went out their ways to assist us including planning a flawless trip prior to booking a couple of nights at Casa Bella, arranging very early mornings transportation , Christmas and New Years eve celebrations at Casa Bella, at hand to answer any questions etc - it is all those small touches that made the difference. My daughter really enjoyed the 3 little adorable puppies...

Definitely looking forward to visiting Steve and Rita again in the future...

Steve and Rita are extremely warm hosts with great recommendations on what to do, great places to eat and arranged for us a private driver, booked coffee tours, etc. This was the last leg of our adventure in Costa Rica and would definitely had liked to stay here for a few more days. The accomodations were very comfortable and clean. Steve and Rita were extremely accomodating to our schedule - very early mornings and catered home-cooked breakfast around us and our needs. Would recommend this to anyone who is looking for a relaxed, beautiful setting with very friendly hosts who are willing to help.

We cannot wait to go back to Casa Bella Rita! The view is absolutely spectacular, as well as the inside and grounds of Casa Bella Rita. Steve and Rita made us feel right at home, and soon no one who was staying there was a stranger. Rita helped us with planning our outings, and connected us with the right drivers who could show us the Central Valley and the true Costa Rican lifestyle. We were there over Thanksgiving and shared the holiday dinner with guests, relatives, and friends of Steve's and Rita's. It was great, and they charged us an extremely small price considering the huge meal we consumed. We can't wait to go back ...

This is the perfect place to stay during your trip to Costa Rica. Rita and Steve are the perfect hosts. They make everyone feel like they are good old friends. We arrived late in the evening. After the hustle and bustle in the airport, it was such a relief to find Steve waiting for us just across the drive from where all the taxis are located.

He immediately made us feel at home and answered the many questions we had before we started our journey around the country.

The breakfasts are wonderful. Both Steve and Rita were restaurant owners when they lived in the states, and the quality and service shows they have a lot of hospitality experience. The rooms are beautifully decorated, with lots of details added that make you feel comfortable and pampered.

Originally, we had planned to start and end our trip here. After getting stuck in San Jose traffic later in the week, we made a panic call to Rita and Steve and luckily they had a room available. They poured a nice drink for us, helped us to relax and calm down.

We liked the place so much, we decided to spend the rest of our trip with them and make day trips from their place. Costa Rica is not that big, so it is easy to do several day trips from their B&B, which is centrally located. By the time we were ready to leave, we felt like we had made good friends and we can't wait to plan another trip sometime and stay with them again.

We would highly recommend (as many, many others have) this bed and breakfast to anyone thinking of traveling to Costa Rica.

This was a suprise trip and a milestone birthday for my wife-I gave her virtually no notice. After a whirlwind evening with friends in Los Angeles we took a midnight, first class, flight direct to San Jose. I relied on Rita and Steve for flawless coordination, he was waiting for us and the Mariposa Room was great. It was like visiting your overseas friends. We took a short rest, then participated in an informal happy hour at CBR. Our hosts brought us to a quaint local pizzeria ( Rest 76) A honeymooner couple came along and we all dined family style spreading out our BYOB and sharing food at a large table. What a great way to end a non-stop day. We are still too young for hand-holding guided tours but the next day they hooked us up with "Luis" to take where we wanted to go in the metro area. Rita also arranged for our rental car to be delivered to CBR when we set out to see the country on our own after two days. We dropped it off at our San Jose Hotel ( Grano de Oro) on our last night in CR. Steve is a great chef, he introduced me to my new favorite beer (Pilsner) and we even named our new kitten 'Chilero" after his homemade hot salsa
