: (( soundproof is not good that you can hear the conversation and footsteps of next room

Location
: ) 3hours driving from downtown but they provide free transportation

Services

we stayed at greenview for 3 days and 2 nights. For the price we paid we werent expecting much at all.
Rooms are clean, if you remember that you are in the middle of nowhere and do not expect to much.
The staff are not really helpful, but still friendly.
we did one boat trip with them, and then, ask a local with a car to drive us to Bilit to see the elephant .

I stayed one night at the Sukau Greenview as part of a tour package to Sukau, a popular tourist destination for wildlife encounters on the Kinabatangan River. This was one of the cheapest available packages, including transport from Sandakan, all meals and two boat rides to catch sight of elephants, proboscis monkeys, salt water crocs, and birds of which several species of hornbills were the highlight.

I happened to be the only guest staying at this bed & breakfast, although there was a day guest who joined in the afternoon boat ride that was arranged as soon as I had checked in. We were lucky as we sighted all the animals we were looking out for. The Pygmy Elephants were as close as 10m away, but I felt safe in the boat.

The second boat cruise happened at dawn and this time, I had company. The crocodile farm manager from Kota Kinabalu had checked in late and he was helping out in location shooting by a Japanese TV crew. I got myself invited to see the preparations for shooting.

The cabin I stayed in was clean and comfortable, and with the wonderful boat experience, I felt I had one of the best wildlife holidays ever.

You have many choices for accommodation in Sukau, but I think the Sukau Greenview will not disappoint, especially if you are on a tight budget. Stay one night or more to make the journey from Sandakan worth it.

We stayed at Greenview for 3 days/2nights via Sandakan Hotspot and it was great.

For the price we paid, we weren't expecting much at all, we were wrong to assume! We were greeted on arrival and after completing the necessary forms were talked through our intinery for the next 3 days and shown to our room. The room was basic but we didn't need anything more, it was cool, clean and quiet.

We had 2 afternoon cruises, 2 evening cruises, 1 morning cruise and a walk included in our package and it wasn't long before we were on the boat that first afternoon. We thoroughly enjoyed each of our tours, the guides were knowledgable but as with any wildlife tour, there is a huge element of luck involved. We were overjoyed to spot a mother and baby Orangutan but were slightly disappointed, although we thought it would be the case, that we didn't spot the elephants. My only concern was the during the night cruise when we ran out of fuel, but I shouldn't have worried, the tank was soon refilled and we continued on our way!

Back at the lodge, the atmosphere was great and the food was wonderful. We couldn't quite believe the standard of the food, it was varied and lovely, I particularly liked the curried pumpkin!

If we were to visit the area again, we would stay at Greenview!

We did the 3 days and 2 nights package with greenview b&b in an airco ensuited room for RM445 per person. Inclusive was: 2 afternoon cruises, 1 morning cruise, 1 day walk, 1 night walk and all meals (which were delicious).
The pick up from sandakan was on time. We arrived in Sukau a few minutes before our first afternoon cruise. We quickly checked in and noticed that the water in our room was totally brown. We told the reception and when we came back from our first cruise it was fixed.
The room was simple, but clean and comfortable. Beds and pillows are comfortable and aircon works well (you don't really need it though, as it cools down enough at night to only use the fan). The shower had cold water only and the waterpressure was not great, just a few hard beams.
The location is okay, just on a road next to the riverbank, but we saw other lodges that were surrounded by rainforest which adds a bit extra to the experience.
The cruises were great as we saw some amazing wildlife (orang utan, elephants, proboscis mokeys, corcodiles and a lot more), but we were a bit dissapointed in the guides: we expexted to learn some new stuff about the animals, envirement etc but they seemed a bit lazy: one was typing on his phone or sleeping the whole time during the nightcruize. For the nightwalk we got the option to change in to another nightcruize. I Asked our guide which one he would advice us to do to see more animals. He told us that he would like us to choose the cruise, because he didn't like to walk and be in the jungle. WTF isn't that what he gets paid for, what WE paid for!?
The food was served as a buffet, there was enough choice and it tasted delicious. One thing I would advise them to do is sell some chocolate bars, candy, ice cream or anything at the reception, because apart from the 3 meals there are no snacks or so. And the village is a bit far to walk to.
Apart from the few remarks, everything was good and we would have given greenview lodge 4 stars if the price would be a bit lower.
