Hotel Casas Grandes looks like a motel from the 1970's. The sink is fake Marble and is at one end of the room with the shower and toilet off by themselves. However, after 5 nights in northern Mexico, this was the first hotel in which there was not a waste basket next to the toilet (and/or stern guidance not to flush anything except body waste). We flushed toilet paper with no ill effects. It was the first of 4 northern Mexico hotels in which there were no plumbing issues -- the faucets turned off without excessive effort, the shower had plenty of hot water and a good shower head.
The room had a connecting door to each of the rooms on either side. We assume that the multiple connecting doors were to accommodate large families.
There was internet in the room and it worked well.More
