Just spent a week here and I believe we were the first paying guests. Booked through TripAdvisor (never done that before) - all very straightforward. Had lots of email messages to and from Angelo before we went - he was even prepared to put up with my Italian. Angelo and Paula were waiting to welcome us on arrival with bread, ham, cheese, fruit and wine and left us a well stocked kitchen, homemade honey etc.. Angelo texted in the week to see if we were OK - never happened before. The house is very spacious but there were only two of us - six would be a squash unless at least two were children. The grounds are very extensive with fruit trees, vegetables, beehives, grass, hammock, table tennis. One side is farmland, the other an empty house. Generally pretty quiet - bit of noise from road and occasional music from not sure where. Good position for seeing what Lazio has to offer but would suggest car essential as even Trevignano is a few km away and I would not fancy walking on the road. Easy distance to all the main villages on the lake, lots of restaurants, nothing too expensive. Easy to get to Rome, Viterbo etc by train. All in all a good place to rent for a quiet holiday. One or two minor problems - bit of a leak from one of the showers, downstairs water not terribly hot (but upstairs and shower fine). It would be nice to have more local information at the house and as the first visitors we left some bits to get it started and if everyone adds to it, it will soon build up. We would be happy to stay here again.
