Tayvallich Coffee Shop
Certificate of Excellence
Description: We are a small coffee shop right on the shores of tayvallich bay. We serve freshly cooked breakfast until 11.30 am and start serving lunches from 12pm and serve right through until 4pm. We serve coffees, teas, warm scones and tasty homebaked treats from 9 -5 (10 - 5 on Sundays) We have plenty outside seating on our patio where you can sit watching the boats and wildlife even catching sight of an osprey fishing every now and then! We have showers available for anyone to use. Our village store at the front sells everything from papers, local butcher meat and beer to cycle repair kits.

Excellent start to our weekend in Jura . Sat here with a roll and bacon ( sauce de bruin) watching the world go by waiting for the rib to arrive . Lovely staff and service , clean toilets . Glad I had something warm in my stomach as the waves were biblical.

Thank Robert T

Attached to the splendid coffee shop is one of Argyll's best, friendliest and best-stocked village shops. Open seven days a week and always ready with a cheery and helpful welcome, you can find what you need for a very enjoyable break in this village and the area round about it.

Aw man, no secret here, I've come here with my beautiful partner for morning coffee and cake for the past two mornings and we have had lovely coffee and lovely GF cake (two options!) and continued to be in love throughout. The location is possibly one of the best in the entire British Isles (no hyperbole, it really is), but, and this is their secret, the food, is excellent. Ignore the silly, poor reviews, the caff was obviously very busy! Remember, this is way out in the sticks, yet, they always maintain their standards, yet always, repeat, always, smile and are happy to be with you. We'll be back.

There was no room when we called in for lunch but they said they would reserve a table if we could come back in 20 minutes - excellent service!
We had delicious paninis with interesting salads - blueberries and beetroot alongside chickpeas, beans and petit pois. We were too full for cakes, unfortunately, but the scones looked good.
I did notice some problems with service; the family next to us waited in vain to be served and eventually went to the counter to order.
It really is in a fab location and the outside tables right on the water will be lovely in summer.

We visited twice during the course of the week. Fair to say that the location is stunning on the edge of the water and there's a choice of inside or outside seating.
On the first visit we sat outside and a lovely young lady brought out drinks menus and returned shortly afterwards rto ask what we'd like. We asked for a few more minutes to decide and then she disappeared for absolutely ages. We thought she'd forgotten us. The coffee and drinks were OK.
On the second occasion we went outside again,it was mid-morning, not busy and a couple of couples were sat outside drinking too. We waited for somebody to attend to us but nothing happened. After a 15 minute wait we left. Nobody noticed us leave.
