We enjoyed our first visit so much we went back Whilst the place itself is a little basic the food more than makes up for it. Tapas with a difference - fusion cooking taking inspiration from many cultures and all small plates so easy to try a variety. Lovely front of house staff who made it all feel seamless . Highly recommend a visit if small plates and sharing is your thing

We visited El Makami in 2019, 2021, and 2023. This year, our first and last meal in Tenerife was here. Every time, they get it right.
Food is always of great quality. Specials are exactly that ....special. Friendly and intimate staff team.
They deserve all the success, but i also always want to get a table, which is going to become more and more difficult as time goes by and word of mouth increases.
Good food, done well and made simple.

After a long, tiring day travelling we picked this little gem out based on the TA Reviews.

We were delighted with our find. Lovely welcoming service brought us 5 quality tapas, one dessert, two beers, a glass of wine and two coffees for €65 plus tip.

Highlights were the Sea Bass special and the huge Tempura Prawns. Tiramisu was great too!

Want to try a tapas only restaurant but struggled to find anything that did only tapas.

Found this place and omg so good pardon peppers to die for and also some non standard tapas dishes all amazing.

Waitress recommended 3 dishes per person and it's spot on, but over ate of course because it was so good.

Booked again for another meal on our last night.

We have dined here before and I am pleased to say the standard remains the same. Wonderful tapas and great service. We had six tapas which felt about right . All were good but the Beef Fajitas andTempura Prawns were excellent. Important to book as four couples were turned away while we dined.
