The surroundings of this hotel is just amazing. Amazing nature and if having a car it it's recommended to go for a drive on the owner's land around - BEAUTIFUL! We were there in December and the room was slightly cold when we received it and the heating was a bit slow. The spa area is also amazing.

Room Tip: Spend time on the huge property around the hotel. It's amazing!

We booked here as part of a smart box gift that we received as a wedding present. The hotel is nice but a little bit dated. One can see that everything is a bit old, and I'm not writing about the style (because it has an old style anyway). Modernization/freshening up would help e.g. replace box tv with a flat screen in room. Various mod cons like that could help. Furthermore we could use the Turkish bath for one hour as part of the package. 1 hour is simply too much. We stayed there 15 minutes and asked if we could use the pool inside the spa for the remaining time but they denied us access saying we would have to pay extra! not very reasonable.

We spent two nights in this fantastically located hotel in the end of august. It is located alone in a green valley, with lots of green spaces and woods surrounding. Perugia is 40 minutes driving distance away (curvy roads) and also 40 minutes from Assisi (very curvy roads). The hotel itself is very well renovated and clean. The lobby is very beautiful and in classic Italian furniture. The rooms are a little bit small. If there is good weather you can enjoy a dive in the pool and a sunbath, however the outside furniture is all made of plastic, which you could see began to break as you sat on the chairs. On the first view the hotel was a very good choice for a relaxing two night stay during our Italy trip. However, we are a young couple and we were the only ones in the hotel without children. In fact this was a family hotel with lots of children aged between 1-6 years. During dinner you could wonder if you were in a hotel restaurant or in a recreation park. Surprisingly, maybe because of the hot weather, it was very quiet near the pool during the day. The food in the hotel’s restaurant was also disappointing and the staff unexperienced. I would say that this is a perfect hotel if you have children and you want to make walks in the woods and let your children run around without any danger. I would not recommend this hotel if you don’t have children.

The hotel keeps the original shape and architecture of an original umbrian village-abbey. You can enjoy wonderful running ways starting just outside your room, tennis, soccer and swimming pool (it could be cleaner if guests should wear a swimming cap).
Silence, relax and a great kindness of all staff people are the leit-motifs of this hotel.
Various breakfast with exquisite bio products, delicious hand made cakes and jams.
Dinner is quite expensive but worth of tasting.
Nearby Terre del Verde you can visit the best of Umbria: Assisi, Gubbio and Perugia, but you can also enjoy nice bike-riding up and down hills!

Room Tip: All rooms are wonderful, but wi-fi connection is ok only in some of the lobby's areas
