My partner and I came across this while we were vacationing in Koh Samui. I will say this is how I love to vacation. Right on the water with a beautiful pool. The restaurant has amazing food and the service is top notch. I got a massage here too, beautiful facilities. But the room is really were it's at. They all come with private dipping pools. The rooms are very big, I feel as if though I have traveled backin time with the room although it has all the modern comforts. Old world meet modern world. Well done! The staff, management, and owners should feel proud to be part of Tango Luxe Beach Villa. Two very happy customers. Thank you again we cannot wait to see your smiling faces again!........hopefully very soon. :)

Tango Luxe Beach Villas are good value for your money. If you want a private pool villa and are on a budget it is a great place to stay. The breakfast is delivered to your room and plenty, nothing special, but good. The portions of the restaurant are quite small for their prices, but still acceptable. The main pool and beach are not really worth a long visit, but you have your private pool for serentity. We enjoyed our stay very much and will most likely visit again. One of the biggest plus points is the extremely friendly and helpful staff.

This is a terrific, quiet boutique resort with a small number of luxury villas, each with their own small pool, arranged along a wooden boardwalk running from the reception area down to the main pool on a deck over the sea. In addition to the infinity pool, the deck also has a bar and meals are served either on the deck or at the small outdoor restaurant next to the reception area.

The layout allows you the option of relaxing in private by your own pool or using the main pool and deck. The larger villas have a decent sized pool. The smaller villas only have a plunge pool.

Sunsets on the pool deck with a cocktail or dinner are a must. The food and drinks are very good and typical prices for hotels / tourist orientated restaurants on the Island. If you want a cheap authentic Thai meal you need to find an authentic local restaurant - but thats always true.

We stayed in the Grand Sala villa next to the main pool. Beautiful, two bedded villa with superb bathrooms. Also, perfect to retreat back to on the very few occasions that the main pool was too lively with kids.

The staff were terrific; very helpful and incredibly polite. They always remembered who we were and which villa we were staying in. The bar staff remembered our favourite drinks and on one occasion when we returned from a very hot and dusty tour of the island they noticed us returning looking hot and tired and brought our drinks even before being asked! Excellent service...

This is the place for you if;

- you are looking for a little, quiet luxury on Samui
- you don't mind being a little out of the way from the main towns - you will need taxis or your own transport to get to Chaweng, Bhoput or the Fishermans Village.

It might not be the place for you if;

- you are travelling with younger children who need a lot to entertain them.
- you like a resort with a beach - there isnt a useable beach here.
- you like to be right in the centre of things - then you probably want to be in Chaweng.

The greate location gives time to spend hours in a very quite place. But following things must be said:

1. The WC was cleaned only on the 3rd day. Or was it just done too fast and not clean enough?
2. An unpleasant smell of drains was present after each shower
3. Several times the breakfast order was wrong and late. We were also disappointed by the poor quality of the food: every day the same jam, the same toast and the same fruits. Even we ordered more fruits (it took 3 days to work), we just got two more cups of fruit salad.
4. Understandings of some receptionists was bad and did not respond to my requests (general informations needed by a tourist)
5. The happy hour of the pool bar is quite special: happy hour means “by one, get one free”. We did order only one time a cocktail because the prices are too high. This is not a real nice surprise and limited our consumption in the hotel. We preferred to leave the hotel to eat and drink.
6. Internal prices policy is disastrous: 10% service charge at the pool bar and very expensive massages are not acceptable when a customer pays almost 10’000 Baht per night.
7. Same point for the car and scooter rental: receptionists do not show motivated to find a solution with correct prices for the customer. The scooter has cost 300 Baht per day while other rentals were costing half. Other point: we wanted to keep the scooter one more half day, which would have cost 150 Baht, the receptionist was not able to deal this and we had to pay 200 Baht.
8. Last but not least: porn movies and pictures on the TV box! We wanted to watch a movie and were absolutely shocked to see the TV box full of such stuff.

The intern service charges at the pool bar, the expensive massages (also using the discount), the expensive car rental and the global appreciation give a “money-making” picture of the hotel and this is unacceptable for this price.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experiences with us. We thank you especially for bringing these to our attention. We value each and every guests including yourself and to show we take your concerns very seriously we have taken steps to investigate on the nature and cause of your comments. We wish to clarify that the rooms are cleaned daily with efficient housekeepers and when they are done we make sure it's crystal clear. However, there was a do not disturb sign posted on your door for a few days and we for that we have to make sure your privacy is maintained. This is a big misunderstanding between us.
We offer 7 different choice of breakfast menus such as English/American/Spanish/Oriental/French/ Health/Egg Benedict etc. which includes imported jams and toasts from Europe. Breakfast is delivered at your desired time every morning. However, when all rooms order at the same time we tend to be delayed for a few minutes or so and we regret that we did not made it up to your taste. We abide by the rule and regulations of Thai Tourism industry where a minimuim1 of 0% service charge is a standard policy throughout the island. Our bars ad restaurants have the same rate as other star rated hotels and to be frank we are one among the hotels with the lowest rates in accommodation. You will have to pay twice or thrice more in other resorts with the same type and category of villas in a crowded location.
We do not have our own scooter or car rentals and this we regret is the policy of our associates and not us. Our HD players are filled with high quality only censored movies whch may include some PG/RA rated thrillers and it is a bit exaggerating to say porn movies are present. We thank you once again for staying with us and hope that you will see improvements if you ever decide to stay with us again.

I did not pre-book this hotel, as was sceptical about reviews, area, price, so left it until we were in Koh Samui (stayed in Bophut for 3 nights) and went to check it out. It was all it promised to be, so we booked directly with the hotel for 3 nights. It is situated within walking distance to Big Buddha. There is not much around the area, however it suited us perfectly as we were just needing a relaxing few days to unwind (before moving onto the busier Chaweng area). The rooms are superb (ours was called "Lawana"). Attention to detail is impressive, and the Thai owner obviously has a lot of experience in the hotel business. The design, lay-out, and attention to detail is world-class. Each villa is secluded with your own little courtyard and plunge pool with deck chairs and small table. Huge sliding doors go into a large room with 4-poster bed, big flat screen television (with hundreds of movies to watch). From the bedroom, you walk into an area with big built-in cupboards (bathrobes, slippers, hairdryer, dressing table) and mini bar area which has a good sized fridge fully stocked, a very fancy coffee machine, snacks etc). The bathroom is enormous with floor to ceiling windows, a luxurious bath which is nearly as big as the plunge pool; a toilet which is state of the art and could do all sorts of things (very amusing). The little extras they provide are great - apart from the normal shampoo etc. they provide razors, shaving cream, toothbrush, toothpaste etc. You place your order for breakfast into a little post-box at the entrance to the villa, and it is delivered by smiling staff in the morning and served in the little courtyard. The choice is excellent - Spanish, American, French, English or Thai, along with fruits, juices, breads, jams. There are only 14 villas and at the front a very big swimming pool, bar area and outside restaurant. There is no beach in front of the hotel, and at first we were a little dissapointed because the tide was out, and it was a bit swampy and not too attractive, however when the tide comes in, it's lovely and the view is stunning, especially early evening. To the right there is a bit of a beach (very secluded). The hotel also has a little restaurant near reception and a beauty spa. We loved sitting at the main pool in the early evening having a cocktail, and ate a couple of times in the restaurant - food is very good. One evening we ventured out to the main road and had a very cheap meal. I recommend this hotel for honeymooners and people wanting to relax with a bit of peace and quiet. There aren't many shops or anything in the area, however it is still close enough to Bophut and Chaweng, should you want a bit of action. We were on a "special" for AUD $120 per night (which is more than half of the rack rate) - if this was in Chaweng, I reckon you'd be paying up to AUD $500 a night. The staff were polite, friendly and very helpful. If you are a family, there are bigger villas with a larger pool. Will definitely stay at this hotel again.
