The resort itself represented excellent value at less than A$30/night for a quiet, beautifully-kept and attractive place with a terrific lagoon pool and cheap but tasty food.
Located a 10-minute walk from Bo Phut Beach and restaurants, this was the only real negative. Without a vehicle, it is a bit of a walk along a road with no footpaths nor even a real shoulder. So it was a bit dangerous especially at night due to the fast traffic. However, if you are content with relaxing at the resort and utilising the pool and restaurant/room service then it can work out ok.
I was surprised that room service was just the regular restaurant menu and that was very affordable (80B meals, cheap beer, etc) except that you could enjoy it on your comfortable patio overlooking the green spaces around the resort. The room I had (queen bed) was immaculate and well appointed with nice furniture, writing desk, tv (CRT), fridge, huge bathroom/wardrobe space but no safe.More
