We just returned from a week at Spice Island and found the entire experience to be exceptional. Gorgeous beach with no worry about getting a lounge chair, small trees to provide a very private, relaxing experience and plenty of room to maneuver the chairs in and out of the sun.
The food was outstanding. The dinner menu was different every night and posted at breakfast time so if you wanted to make a special request for that night you were able to. The included wine was fine and we also did take advantage of the wine list to order something special one night.
The staff was consistently friendly and helpful often greeting us by name. We did experience slow service at lunch one day, but at all other meals the service was great. The rooms and the entire property was beautifully maintained and we were very happy with our room which had a private pool - perfect place to spend some time during occasional showers.
The guests are mainly older couples. Dinner is elegant and there are not activities except for live entertainment 3 nights a week which we enjoyed especially the talent steel band. If you are looking for a young, late night crowd, this resort may not be what you are looking for. But for us, it was perfect.
