Stayed at the Arabella Alpenhotel and were blown away. The hotel is great, the staff super friendly and very obliging.

Our room was a seaview-studio, with a marvelous view. Our dog had a very heartfelt welcome too, not only there's a all you can eat-and-drink-bar next to the reception, but he got his own bowl, blanket and toy to play with - so awesome.

The room was wonderful decorated (booked the special romantic offer - awesome!), clean and comfortable, including two balconies and this incredible view. The spa-area is just superb, with four different saunas, and a huge relaxation area inside and outside the spa. The hotel got his own lake-beacharea (grass, no sand), incl. a land - the water should probably be deep enough for careful headers^^

Nothing to complain about the breakfast - a wide range of tasty things to choose from, there's even a caffee machine for cappucino.

Of course there's free wifi, and the first filling of the minibar (three beers, water, coke and two juices) are completely for free.

Everyone who needs to take a break and loves to wander in the alps is very recommended to stay at the Arabella. Can't get any better.

I was on two separate occasions in March at the Arabella hotel. Once for my team's event with 15 people and then for a partner event with 60+ people. The location, the rooms, the food, the Organisation. Everything was very good!

Thanks for the great experience - we will be back!

Was residing in this hotel for 2 nights, in relation to a business event.

It's a charming and nice hotel, right at the lake. The room I got was spacey, clean and with a very comfortable bed. The staff was friendly and welcoming.

Big disappointment was the kitchen. Bayern is well known for its good food. None of that in this hotel, it's all buffet like you find in a 3 star hotel somewhere in Spain.
Breakfast was also disappointing, there just no passion in the cuisine. Shame, cause one may expect more of a 4 star hotel.

So only 3 points here.

Dear Dimitri,

thank’s a lot for evaluating us on your last stay at our property and for your honest critique!
We are glad you enjoyed the facilities here on your business event at Spitzingsee.
Your complaint on the quality of food however, is difficult for us to grasp, what is needed to be improved exactly, without details. Most of our guests are very satisfied and praise our cuisine. Maybe next time, you give us some more hints.
We hope you can respect and try to accommodate to this.
Dear Dimitri, it would make us very happy, if you visit us again one day maybe next time for vacation with family or friends. Wish you well until then and thanks for commenting one more time,
Yours Peter_K./ GM & team

This was our second visit to this charming hotel and the first Christmas away we have taken. The hotel is very well run with friendly and helpful service. The food is absolutely delicious and the rooms are cosy and well designed. We had a lake view which was a real treat as the hotel is in a stunning setting. To be honest, I hope nobody reads this review as we really enjoyed being the only Brita there....

Room Tip: Lake views are extra but utterly worth it

This week, I participated in a 3 day conference at this fabulous hotel, located on the shore of Spitzingsee lake in the Bavarian Alps. The total experience was excellent!

The rooms are beautifully decorated with lots of natural wood accents. Surrounded by mountains, even the street views are picturesque. Look for the pillow menu near the television, because the standard pillows are small and thin. Ice cubes (Eis wurfel) are only available at the bar or restaurant. Coffee whitener, for the room's instant coffee, was not replenished. If I return to this hotel, I'll take a small pitcher of cream from the restaurant and put it in the room's mini-fridge.

The food was 3 Star excellent!!! Most memorable was the pumpkin soup, which was poured over toasted pumpkin seeds, a drizzle of truffle oil, and a sachet of salmon.

As a conference facility, my only criticism was the thinly padded chairs, which failed to provide any comfort after only a couple hours.

Room Tip: Mountain views are spectacular on all sides
