The hotel is beautiful. The design of the hotel with the bungalows laid out around the pool. The pool itself and the internal layout and decoration of the Bungalows is all spectacular.
If you couldn't be bothered to go out in the evening, the food at the hotel was also very good - no doubt a result of a French heritage!
The staff are brilliant.
I did have two minor gripes: first the air conditioners were not powerful enough for the room sizes - so even when they were working full out it took a long time for the rooms to cool down.
The second is the end of the pool. Let me first say that this is a brilliant pool which, in many ways is "designer meets practicality"! The pool is about 20 meters long - which is really good for a hotel pool. My gripe is that at one end of the pool three seats have been put in which means that if you want to swim laps you have to turn on a curved surface - which is not easy. It also reduces the effective length of the pool by about a meter - which is a shame. It would be good if at least one of the seats was taken out to allow for lap-swimmers to be able to turn at both ends of the pool without an issue!

So why have I still marked this as 5* despite these flaws? Because i think with these issues addressed it would exceed a 5* award by miles. As it stands the minimum is still 5*!

Es ist sehr selten, dass unsere Kunden Runden im Pool machen, tausend Ausreden auf der anderen Seite legen sie sich sehr oft auf die Stollen für lange Gespräche im Wasser.
Wir werden denken, danke.

Myself and my boyfriend stayed here for 9 nights. We had a room facing the pool with a decking area. The toilet/shower/sink was like a wet room all together as an ensuite. There wasn't a ventilator/fan in the ensuite so it could get pretty got in there.

The rooms were cleaned everyday with fresh towels and bedding. The room itself was cleaned to a high standard. The only thing was that when you took the keycard out of the room the aircon went off so coming back after being back for a couple of hours the room was always super hot. The pool was always a good temperature however the sun lounger pillows could do with a refresh as some were a little stained.

The hotel itself did really delicious food at a reasonable price. Me and my boyfriend are here twice during our stay. Cocktail happy hour was from 3-5pm (large selection of cocktails).

We hired a scooter from the front desk. The woman sorted it all out for us and any other questions we may of had during our day. All of the staff were very friendly. I would absolutely recommend getting a scooter as there isn't that much choice bar/restaurant wise around the hotel. There is a large Tesco supermarket about a 15 min drive out.

However, one day around 12 noon all of the electricity/water cut out. We couldn't shower, charge our phones, no wifi, no air con in room etc. We asked when this would be sorted numerous times but the staff at this point seemed uninterested and couldn't give us an answer. That was annoying!! So we ended up having to go out and find something to do for the whole night. When we got back however it was fixed!

Overall I would recommend this hotel but definitely hire a scooter due to location.

We were quickly made to feel at home by the manager and the bubbly reception staff.

Our hut was modern, stylish and came equipped with air conditioning, television, en-suite bathroom, double bed, sofa, wardrobe and safety deposit box. The only small downfall was that the air conditioning required your key to activate it, so if you'd been out all day you had to bare coming back to a very hot room, but the air con cooled down the room after an hour so we'd just chill on our private decking area.

You can hire motorbikes and scooters directly from the reception for cheap and reliable transport - no passport required.

The pool is large and the resort is located into the middle of a truly tropical scenery. There are palm trees everywhere which are maintained and the coconuts collected from them when necessary.

The resort is around 5 minutes on a scooter to the main Lamai strip of bars, restaurants, beach etc.

The most notable part of this resort however is the staff. The manager has done a real good job of employing passionate friendly human beings. From cleaners to reception staff, you're never greeted with anything other than a smile! I have to personally thank Lunn and Sky who are the 2 best bar staff I've ever been served by. They're always serving with a smile and a personal touch, they always offer to bring your order to your room and I have to thank them for enduring my many questions about Thailand, Myanmar and other places I'm interested in. They are fantastic.

Once our 9 nights were up I was truly sad to be leaving, I felt I had became a part of the little family at CoconutsPalm Resort and I hope to return to Ko Samui in the future and I won't be thinking twice about where to stay.

Much love,
Reece

Booked this hotel for the first time and I can say it really exceeds our expectations!
Great room, nice bed, friendly and helpful staff, nice pool, hangout area and laundry service.
It's situated a little secluded from central Lamai, but that's what we wanted, so you can rent a scooter or just let them call you a taxi. Didn't try the food yet, but I really think this is a winner!

We were in premium bungalow, very frendly staff, very cheap, beautifully arranged resort, all is new, palms are gorgeous, very clean, pool is nice, great location. They offer to rent motorbike for cheap price and we explored the whole island. Good breakfast. I recommend this place :) we spend an amazing time here . If I will go on this island again I would stay here.
