This is a stunning finca near to the pretty village of Fataga in the south of Gran Canaria. We had a simple, though perfectly acceptable large room, a very hot shower, a filling breakfast and the use of the excellent sun terraces and a nice swimming pool for the whole weekend. We were able to check in early, at midday on Saturday, and we didn't leave until four the following afternoon. There is a nice restaurant on site and the setting is quite spectacular with a multitude of exotic flowers, trees and shrubs and a resident green parrot who was nest building in a tall palm tree. I am sure that we will visit again soon!

Room Tip: Ask for a room with a balcony.

The environment is very nice but the rooms and the restaurant are very poor. Specially if you pay 80 euros per night, the less you should get its a comfortable bed in a clean room as well with the breakfast. My opinion is that the hotel is in a desperate need of renovation all over..

My husband and I stayed here for part of our honeymoon and were so pleased with our decision to do so. We arrived and were greeted by a wonderful office staff of women that were so sweet and kind. When we arrived at our room we found a complimentary bottle of champagne which was an unexpected and wonderful surprise. The food at the restaurant was incredible as was the wait staff! Everyone is so friendly and kind. It was quiet and very peaceful and we look forward to staying here again!!

Finca Molino is situated just outside the beautiful village of Fataga. It's a beautiful and peaceful place, the rooms and buildings are typically Canarian. On arrival we were greeted by a very friendly lady. She was helpful and welcoming.

The rooms are well furnished and the design rustic. It was however a little cold in December but we were provided with an electric heater. The bathroom however was a little moldy but otherwise relatively clean.

The grounds are beautiful. We were surrounded by orange groves, beautiful orchard as well as an animal farm with horses and donkeys. But our favourite is the friendly cat, Blanquito. The pool looks inviting but is a little cold to swim in this time of the year. However it should be great in the summer. The restaurant offers typical Canarian food. The staffs are friendly and accommodating.

We love the various trails, especially the one that leads to the molino de agua (water mill), plenty of walks available. My partner also had a massage/reiki treatment and he seems to find it relaxing. There is even a stone circle for meditation , allegedly used by the elders of old!

All in all, it was a great place to stay. We would love to come back.

The hotel is nicely located outside the centre. In January the place was very cold, outside temperture at night was 10 C. Inside temperature in the restaurant was 14 C and having dinner or breakfast required a jacket and a hat. Food was also a disappointment, bland and the lasagne wasn't hot inside. We had the suite which was also cold. The small electric heater got it to 15C which isn't comfortable. We had to insist to get wood for the fire place. People there are friendly, but they could go from OK to great by increasing the hospitality and really take care of you.
