Loved this place. Had a great 2-room upstairs apartment with a huge picture window looking over the top of the pine forest with views out to sea (stunning views of the sunrise) and 2 balconies - a massive one off the lounge and a smaller one off the bedroom - both overlooking the pool. Also a large bathroom. Loads of room and very comfortable. We're not keen on lying round a pool or on a beach, so hired a car and explored the island - and having done so were glad that we had chosen to stay in Keri as we felt it was a much nicer location than the beach resorts which were a bit too touristy for us. We'd researched the hotel before we booked so we knew what to expect and we were very glad that we hadn't been put off by some of the more negative reviews on here. We were hoping for a peaceful and relaxing break, which is exactly what we got. Food and drink was more than plentiful - we're not heavy drinkers so alcohol content seemed fine to us. We didn't try the snacks but found there to be plenty of choice for all meals in the restaurant, perfectly hot enough and good food. All the staff were really friendly and helpful. If we came back to Zakynthos we would definitely choose to stay here again - we had a lovely holiday and the hotel was the perfect base for us.

Returned yesterday from a 10 day holiday. We were very lucky with the weather, it was beautifully sunny every day with higher than usual temperatures.
The hotel is in a lovely quiet part of Zakynthos, but if (like me/us) you are not a lover of sitting by a pool all day in the sunshine, then you definitely need to hire a car. We hired one and had a lovely time going to Laganas a few times and further afield. BUT..please note that direction signs are almost non-existent, which did cause us problems, especially having to go through Zakynthos Town to access most places!!
My partner did an Island Tour searching for Turtles, which he thoroughly enjoyed (I had to miss out due to suffering from sea sickness!! Ugh!!).
The service provided by the Chalet Maids was excellent, very high standards of cleanliness.
The service provided by the staff in the restaurant was also excellent. One waiter (Nico) was very helpful and if I had been 20 years younger...well...I could certainly have done a "Shirley Valentine"!!! All the staff work very long days, but always have a smile and cheerful disposition.
We had a problem with our first room. We had booked (and paid for) a Superior Double Room, but oh gosh, this room (402) was dreadful. It was small, with not much clothes space (the single wardrobe being an afterthought) and the bathroom had NO Bidet and was literally a "wet room"!!! We were very, very disappointed. So, we asked for our Superior Room and were moved to Room 514 which was absolutely lovely. It contained a queen size bed (a bit on the hard side though), plenty of storage space and a Shower Cubicle and a Bidet!! Brilliant.
The food was nice most nights, but sometimes I struggled to find something to eat. Most nights the Desserts are lovely, but very small in size. Lovely fresh orange juice to enjoy in the mornings. No coffee sachets were provided in the room and we daily needed to replenish our sugar sticks.
The water in the taps was salt water, a bit off putting for cleaning your teeth and obviously cannot be drunk. I went out and bought bottled water for all the ten days. Also the milk provided goes well with coffee but not with tea. So again we bought our own.
There is no mini supermarket on site, which it would have been useful to have.
On some nights the music from the main building was quite loud and did apparently disturb some people who were nearer to the main building.
The disturbing part for myself (and several other travelers) was the disdain shown to the gorgeous cats and kittens on the complex by the person (whose name begins with M) who (allegedly) used a high powered hose pipe on some of the three week old kittens and two of them went missing, and were not seen again. This is TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE. I realise that not all holiday makers like cats, but to treat them like that is disgusting. We are taking this matter further as it is called animal cruelty. The management did not respond to our complaint and concerns about this matter to our satisfaction. Those kittens were purely defenseless and certainly did NOT deserve such atrocious treatment (even though M thought it highly entertaining "allegedly).
For this reason I have marked down the hotel.
It was relaxing and peaceful, but in my humble opinion was not a 4* hotel.

Room Tip: Room 514 was lovely. But avoid Room 402.

The hotel is easy to get around using a mobility scooter or wheelchair . HOWEVER ACCESS TO THE DINING ROOM IS A PROBLEM . The ramp is very steep an has a sharp corner . We gave up after a few days and I fetched our meals and we ate on the patio area. That was ok with the wonderful staff, who were always very helpful and kind . They even repaired the handle on my partners mobility scooter ! We found the food very good , I asked for the recipes but the chef was always very busy . He did give me some of his spice mix though and it goes well with meat or fish .
We had visited before with the previous owner so we knew that the showers were cubicles and so suitable . We did take some suction grab handles though. They kindly gave us an upgrade to a 2 room apartment with a countryside view, wonderful .
I do not drive and this time my partner did not want to hire a car , so l made do with trips to the beach and going for walks.
All the good things that have been said by other reviewers I totally agree with. The moaners should have done their research! Thank you all at Keri hotel for a lovely holiday !!

Room Tip: If you want a private balcony they tend to be at the side or back of the property and first floor

Just writing this review on the last night of our relaxing weeks stay.
On arrival we were shown to our lovely room overlooking the pool area. The room was both spacious and clean & was cleaned daily by the friendly staff.
We found the food to be plentiful & a good selection at all mealtimes. ( This from a couple of pretty fussy eaters). Yes some items were repeated and some not to our tastes, but there was always plenty of alternative choices. The dining room staff were very efficient and friendly.
I agree the local spirits were a little on the weak side compared with home, but this suited us as we still like drinking but don't enjoy the after effects! And if you don't find them strong enough get up a little more often. Again the staff at the bars were wonderful.
Evening entertainment was a little sparse but we didn't miss the usual mini-discos and the ankle biters charging about. We were after a relaxing holiday after all.
Yes the location is a little remote but exactly what we expected. Surely those who criticise this have read the reviews.
The pool is both large & well equipped with sun beds and a pool size bar. Don't bother packing your towels, you can hire them for 2.5 euros a week.
Finally we were pleasantly surprised by the beach, having read some negative reviews. It is a wonderful place with delightful tavernas, a couple of shops & boat hire & trips. Not a walk, unless you're fit, but a free minibus runs regularly from the resort, manned by a happy driver.
In summary if you want a relaxing holiday, with friendly staff & a great surrounding you won't go wrong. We would recommend to anyone.

Just returned from a week’s holiday & had a lovely time. The hotel itself is situated on a hill & overlooks the Keri Beach area. It was very quiet & relaxing. Staff are friendly & accommodating, always greet you with a smile. It is a bit secluded, so if you’re looking for a lively area, this hotel is not for you. We read a lot of reviews before booking the hotel, and loved it. We wanted to relax & this place is perfect for that. We hired a car for the week & drove around most of the island; I would recommend doing this. We found several nice tavernas across the island & visited most of the popular landmarks & areas. The food is average (caters towards Brits), always hot & plenty of choice; you won’t go hungry. Yes, the spirits are only 30% ABV, but this is quite common for all inclusive hotels in this price range; the Lidl isn’t far if you need something stronger. The room was clean, decent sized, and nicely decorated. There is a free shuttle to & from Keri Beach, which is a very cute area with several tavernas & shops. You can also book day boat trips from Keri Beach or hire your own boat. We did a boat trip to Marathonisi Island, turtle watching & caves. The trip was €10pp & lasted 3 1/2 hours; we’ll worth it. If you’re looking for a relaxing break, this place is perfect!

Tips:
-Hire a car, well worth it
-Mini fridges in each room
-Free shuttle to & from Keri Beach runs several times a day
-Buy bottled water, as I found the water at the hotel a bit odd tasting
-Bring some instant coffee packets for your room as these are not available in the hotel (only tea bags)
-Most bathrooms in the rooms are wet room style
-Relax & enjoy the sunshine!
