The villa is basically two big rooms. The Kitchen/Diner/lounge has two sofa beds. There is a toilet/shower and a curtain to pull across the sleeping area. Go upstairs (no doors) big double bed wth small 'put me up' and en-suite. There is a lovely terrace with great views accessible from the upstairs bedroom with a further terrace above. So lots of outdoor living. In all honesty as long as you are happy with the open plan layout then look no further. The owners are really friendly and helpful, well equipped kitchen, big bar-b-q on terrace, even soap provided. Had a great week, stayed with a friend and we are keen walkers so a great base for the north walking routes and Mt Teide. Highly recommended.

Our four children presented us with a folder at Christmas with a photo on the front from our wedding day. Inside were details of Casa Carmela, which they had booked for us for the week including our 40th wedding anniversary. They had also booked flights and a car.
The directions received from Karen on how to reach the Casa Carmela were spot on, as, also, were her directions to the Alcampo hypermarket between Puerto de la Cruz and La Oratavo, where we stopped en route to stock up on food.
The welcome from Jorge and Lala was lovely.
The views from the terraces are fantastic, both down to the north coast of Tenerife and up the hill to Mount Teide.
We enjoyed our stay at Casa Carmela and also walking round Garachico and parts of Puerto de la Cruz, including the Botanic Gardens.

Both Jorge and Karen made us feel really welcome as soon as we arrived at their house! House is a traditionnal Canario house with a lot of caracter and lovely paintings from Jorge who is a very good painter! So much attention was put and we had free wine, plenty of Christmas sweets to enjoy and the whole house was decorated with a christmas theme :) The 3 terraces are probably the jewel of the house especially the top one, there you can relax and enjoy the sun and look at both Mount Teide and the sea!! So lovely, you can be sure I'll be back!! Thanks so much once again, one of best stay ever :)
