Top Dive in Tahiti was an overall good experience. The guides were competent and personable and handled our large group (14 people) fairly well. Underwater they were very good and attentive to us for the dive, however one of our guides did have his small go pro type camera out during our dive for his personal videos of the reef which seemed a bit odd on our very first dive with him. Not to mention one of those in the group he had been leading had not been diving for two years before that very dive so I would have preferred he did not have anything that could potentially distract him. That being said, he was throughout the rest of the dive very helpful and safe and did not descend too deep for our young group.
The organization and communication once onboard the dive boat was a little confusing right off the bat and it was hard to know what exactly was going to be the plan for the types of dives that day (and how far away they were) until we arrived to the site (30mins later) where the guides then did give us a thorough briefing for the specific dive.
In summary it was a good experience but I felt compelled to point out areas of improvement. I still recommend this operation to those looking for a good, professional team to dive with in Tahiti! Thank you!
