We were a group of 7 ranging from 19 - 60's and from the moment we arrived we were all thrilled to find the villa is like the photos! There has been no expense spared on the finish, furnishing and contents of the property. All the bedrooms were spacious with lots of wardrobe space, beds super comfy and the bedding was fresh and new. The facilities within the house were wonderful with a large Sky TV, seating area, the kitchen is well equipped. We spent most of our time lounging around the pool which is a good size and ideal for families, we paid extra for heating which I would recommend in the colder months- Although we can't complain the weather was lovely and we made good use of the pool and lovely BBQ area which is perfect for Al Fresco dining! The housekeeper and manager are wondering and on hand should you need anything, they kindly allowed us to check in and out slightly outside of the normal times due to our transfers which they also arranged. Its a 5 minute walk to the main road where you will fine a supermarket, plenty of cafes and a market with a lovely butchers which we purchased all our BBQ meat- we fed 7 for around £25 so very reasonably priced! If you stroll a little further down the hill you reach the cove where you will find the beach and some lovely fresh fish restaurants. We ate out most days and would get a taxi from the rank by the supermarket approx. 7 euros to the new strip where you will find restaurants and bars- it's the lively part of town, or 10 euros will take you to the old town which has a bit more culture! We will be returning for definite!

We booked the Villa for 5 nights and we would (and we will) certainly repeat.

We were a small group but there is plenty of space for large groups as there are 6 bedrooms, each with either a double bed or two large single beds. Very high spec throughout the place and all amenities included. It feels as if you were at home (Cable TV, Large TV, WiFi, fully equipped kitchen, air conditioning...)
Great outdoors - large space, very well kept, large swimming pool, plenty of space to sunbathe.
Great Location - In a quiet area, 5 walk minutes from the centre for taxi, supermarket, butcher, cafés, pharmacy... 15 min walk to a small but very pleasant beach and some restaurants. Very easy to take a taxi to other locations - e.g. Albufeira, Vilamoura.
Great Service - Easy to book, the hosts were very helpful and friendly, flexible with Check-in, Check-out, they arranged for Airport transfers and always at the end of the phone if anything was needed.

Villa Maria is a new house - a few months old when we rented it, and was therefore not simply immaculate but with all fittings and utensils virtually unused. Having said that, it is the high standard of construction, furnishings and décor - head and shoulders above the average holiday let - that impressed us most.

The metallic electric blinds which can be operated individually for each room or with a simple one-touch action for the entire house, not only serve their primary function admirably, but provide instant and very efficient security when leaving the house unoccupied during visits to the town or the beach.

Great attention to detail has been paid by the owner, from the comprehensive audio/ video and internet facilities, to the first rate kitchen and laundry appliances, right down to the beautiful, monogrammed towels worthy of a 5-star hotel.

This is a house that no only lives up to "brochure expectations", but actually surpasses them.

With 3-genrations of my family there, we needed a versatile house, and Vila Maria fitted the bill in every respect.

Very friendly and accessible owner (he lives in Lisbon but supplies guests with his mobile number) and his Olhos-resident mother personally sees the guests in and out.
