Lovely family run hotel, with friendly staff. Large pool or the sea take your choice. Meals can be taken at their taverna with a sea view where food and service is excellent. Choice at breakfast is better than most Greek hotels, with lots of choices either hot or cold and served buffet style. Large comfy beds with crisp white sheets and towels which were changed every other day. A curtesy bus is provided for those not wanting the walk into town. A very quiet setting a beautuful hotel and well deserves a 4*.

Room tip: Choice of Double, Superior or Apartment all very good, most rooms get the sun at sometime of the day.

Spent a very warm and welcome week at the Aphrodite in June; family owned and operated, the staff were a joy from bar to pool. Everything worked or was fixed immediately and the private bay has truly wonderful sunsets. Fruit and vegetables are grown in adjacent fields; the tomatoes are the best I have ever tasted. Lesbos needs support and this hotel deserves every success. We will be back.

Room tip: Corner suites are bigger and south side is better than north.

Nice clean and spacious hotel, the rooms were spotless, cleaned daily, nice balcony with partial sea views, the pool area was wonderful, the largest and most comfortable sun beds I have ever used, with spectacular views of the Aegean Sea and it’s own taverna very picturesque and extremely relaxing, breakfast was adequate for our needs, courtesy bus 4 times a day or €5 Euro taxi journey into Molyvos (Mithymna) the most beautiful place, would recommend the Aphrodite although was a little too quiet of an evening a little Greek music or something would be welcome on the terrace

We were expecting good things of the Aphrodite Hotel from the other reviews, and I am pleased to say we were not disappointed at all. It is one of the best hotels we have ever stayed in, and that is not something I would say lightly. It is special not because it is grand and showy, but rather because it is large enough to have excellent facilities and small enough to feel friendly and intimate. The location is superb, being close enough to Molyvos to walk in (or take the courtesy minibus) for an evening meal, but far enough out to feel very quiet and away from the crowds. It was heaven to sit on the balcony and listen to the sheep and goat bells tinkling in the fields while watching the sun go down over the Aegean.
The rooms are spacious and well equipped and the communal areas are clean and comfortable. The pool is superb, as is the beachside taverna (which we found to have much the same prices as the tavernas in the town if you don't want to leave the hotel). The staff are, without exception, very friendly and courteous and the buffet breakfast was extensive and easily set us up for the day. Even the hotel cats are cute!
Molyvos as a town is absolutely picture post-card perfect and we really warmed to Lesvos as an island as it is so quiet and undeveloped. Don't go to the island or the Aphrodite if you are expecting a full on party time, but if you want to be able to totally relax and unwind then this is the place for you.

Room tip: All rooms looked good, but the superior rooms are larger and possibly have better views.
