We had a really enjoyable stay in this clean and comfortable hotel where our spacious studio had a large balcony with a fabulous view over Limnionas Bay. There are several good tavernas within walking distance - try the one at the top of the hill overlooking the bay where the owners are very friendly and the food is excellent. I don't t normally write reviews but some of the earlier ones about this hotel are inaccurate and out of date.

The water was so clear and blue and gorgeous against the backdrop of the mountains. You can't take a bad picture here!Endless sea, fine sand, spectacular views, yachts, fancy stalls.Gorgeous beach. Just walk out a few steps to some of the best snorkeling on earth.A long coastline, golden sand, beautiful crystal waters and a completely virgin landscape make a visit to this place unforgettable.

We were very pleased with the hotel, the rooms were large, with a balcony, a refrigerator, an electric cooker (rooms on the ground floor are better because some of those on the first floor have balconies without roofing), the owner is pleasant, helpful, before coming we were a little worried about his wife or partner - a German woman who had very bad opinion among visitors, but - as we learned later – the owner broke up with her (his new partner inherited some features of her predecessor but we did not complain). The breakfasts was quite monotonous, but dinner very tasty, always two dishes to choose from. Our very good assessment of the food has not been affected neither by the so called “breakfast packet” that we received instead of breakfast on a trip to Patmos (just one slice of bread with cheese), nor the personnel’s sharp word “finished” when something was missing, eg. butter or black tea - in the end a problem was always resolved. The rooms were air conditioned, cleaned every two - three days. The hotel was very quiet, you could actually relax here very well. Overall rating - very good!

Room Tip: Better rooms are on the first floor - the balcony has a roofing there

The hotel is very nice and peaceful. We went there for organised holidays with 2 meals in the price.the owner do not respect vegetarians and refuse to serve vegetarian dishes for dinners in such kind of holidays. The beach and village are peaceful and beautiful.

Having just spent 2 weeks at the Hotel Limnionas Bay village, I was amazed to read some of the unfavourable comments about the hotel and its owners. On first arrival Tanja made us so welcome and we were shown to a spacious studio, spotlessly clean and we found the sheets and towels were changed every other day. The pool and gardens were beautiful and well maintained. Our holiday company had left us a welcome pack of drinks and food, and the fridge had been filled, by the hotel, with drinks at supermarkets prices, from which you left out the empty bottles to be re-stocked as and when. The prices were listed and we thought them very reasonable. It also saved having to go to the supermarket to stock up. We were on bed and breakfast, but there were also facilities for making light meals in the room. Limnionas Bay is a very small village with only one shop up the hill. There are 4 good tavernas at the beach, and possibly a 5th when it opens later this month, but for the majority of our evening meals we stayed at the hotel as the food was excellent, it was a nice atmosphere and a bit different from the usual greek cuisine.
The hotel was very quiet, as was the beach. We were the only British during our stay in the hotel, the rest being German or Italian. Everyone was very pleasant and friendly, even though there was a language barrier. We would recommend a car unless you are a keen walker as it is very rural.
Our only moan was that they charged 10 euros a day for air conditioning, which we thought was a bit steep as generally it is between 6 and 8 euros or even included. We tried without it but with temps going up towards 40 degrees it was uncomfortable at night. This did add a lot to the cost of the holiday, which we had to pay to reception when we left. They do accept credit card though, contrary to what one of your reviewers said.
All in all it was a very enjoyable peaceful holiday and one which we shall probably repeat next year.

Room Tip: The studios were bright and spacious with high ceilings and large balconies. There were apartments and suites too, but we didn't see them.
