We have been to many cooking classes as we travel and this one was by far one of the top experiences! Not only do you get to learn about Cretan cuisine and all the benefits of it, but you also get to eat all of the delicious, fresh, organic food. Great experience and highly recommended!

Our chef, Vicky, was very kind and patient. She explained everything well so we could follow well enough to be able to make the recipes later at home as well. A handout is also provided. The cooking class is located in an outside setting in a beautiful historic building. Be sure to plan plenty of time as you do not only help prepare the meal, but are invited to eat it too. The class takes about five hours in total. A great workshop in beautiful surroundings. I enjoyed it very much and would definitely recommend. Thank you, Vicky!

We really enjoyed the well-planned class, the company and camaraderie and the feeling of joining a Greek family for dinner. Vicky was a wonderful hostess and amazing teacher. She is an exceptional cook and had the timing and preparation down to a fine art so that the entire meal was ready to enjoy at the same time. Our class was smaller, with two groups of two people and we all enjoyed talking together while preparing dinner.

We cooked a wide variety of unusual and delicious Greek foods and enjoyed the behind-the-scenes look at the Greek cooking experience! In total we cooked a main course, four delicious sides, Greek salad and also had a dessert prepared by Vicky. The entire meal was delicious and there was plenty of food! The setting was excellent and this was one of the highlights of our trip in Crete.

We got easy-to-read and detailed instructions in English with comments on substitutions that might be needed away from Crete. Vicky also discussed alternative ways to use the recipes for future meals. She had a variety of both meat and vegetarian options and everything served was delicious and used lots of fresh herbs! Because of the small group, we even got to bring home some leftovers which were also delicious. I'm excited to try repeating some of the recipes at home!

This is a wonderful way of spending a few hours learning about the secrets of the many herbs and spices available in Crete and how to use them to make delicious, mouth watering dishes. Koula is an accomplished cook, a great teacher and a lovely warm and friendly person. She patiently explains all the processes and everyone gets a turn to practice the various techniques she teaches. Whether you are young or old, a single traveller, a couple or part of a group you will be made very welcome and will leave having made new friends. At the end, we had the opportunity to eat the sensational dishes we made accompanied by local wine - bliss!! The ladies in the Vamos tourist office where you book are so helpful and friendly too. Overall, one of the best things we've ever done on holiday!

If you are ever in Crete, make sure to go to the Cooking class! Koula is amazing, such a lovely person and great cook and we learned some delicious recipies from her. The class itself was held in an old olive oil mill, decorated beautifully. The ingredients were so fresh and tasty, and the food itself was magnificent!
