This taverna is a 5 minute walk up from our holiday villa, owned and run by the same family for over 100 years, on a midweek evening it was pretty full, a lovely atmosphere and great hosts - Yannis especially !! Great food, rabbit stew and moussaka, loads of locally produced red wine and great raki, one standard the other flavoured with honey and cinnamon which really is great. Fantastic value 40 euros for two people, going again on Saturday for music night !!

Very tasty local food and jolly, professional service. Pleasant outdoor, shaded sitting area. A short drive or walk out of Vamos. Nothing to fault it.

Our third visit to this family-run gem just outside Vamos. Cretan hospitality is famous, but the people here are as warm as the spring sunshine. We decided there was nowhere better to sit and enjoy our last lunch before coming home and how right we were yet again. As usual the mouth watering menu was too tempting and we over-ordered, but what can you do?! Olive oil, soap and herbs from the gorgeous little attached shop to take home as a memento of a truly memorable lunch. Thank you and we'll be back as soon as we can!

We did walk from Vamos Village to Restaurant Parasia to have light dinner. The walk was nice, just few kilometers. The dinner was huge!! We did order little Parasia salat as well as little Parasia plate with appetisers. At the photo you'll see the latter...
