This is a wonderful tapas restaurant that we again visited twice on this visit. Such an interesting range of different tastes – all beautifully prepared and presented.
Over two visits we shared: Seared scallop & creamed leak puree; pork belly slider; shaved sweet potato, prawn & crab springrolls; Sichuan salted calamari; Cajun soft shell crab; prawn, scallop & leek risotto (twice); and red duck & lychee curry. And there were many other choices on the menu that changes regularly.
We enjoyed every dish but the one disappointment was the pork belly slider. We realise that sliders are the ‘in thing’ but we thought the taste of the pork belly was buried in the mini hamburger bun. But that’s just us – I think it’s a popular menu item.
The wine list here is interesting and reasonably priced, but they do allow byo wine mid-week for $10 corkage.
The service is excellent as was the case last year. Our waiter was first class – friendly and helpful and genuinely interested to know what we thought of the various dishes we were served.
We highly recommend this restaurant whether for a drink and a few snacks or, as was the case for us, a full meal with wine. We’ll be back!
