Praslin and the Seychelles are our favourite travel destination since 25 years. The Islander Guest House offers a beautiful and true way to the discover this paradise. Bungalows are charming and the Godley family is wonderful. Away from big hotels here you can find the real luxury. Very good food, clean and charming rooms, a huge variety of exotic plants cured by the owners and the best sunset on the island, so good that even guests from other hotels come and visit every evening. If you like snorkeling this island is paradise. If you like walking in the middle of the jungle Vallée du Mai is the place to be. Exploding green will surround you and you can find some very special plants like coco de Mer. What to say else, Praslin is the paradise and the Godley family is our Spa retreat once a year.

Stayed 5 nights in the end of November/2013 and no doubt it was a high point in our journey (group of 3 friends) around Seychelles: for the kindness of the family that owns the Guesthouse; for the waiters, always in a good mood; for the excellent food served at breakfast and dinner (at the Capricorn Restaurant) - good portions, fresh fish, vegetables, lots of local fruit, honest and tastefull cooking of criole inspiration. Villas are quite simple in terms of decoration but spacious, clean, with a fully-equiped kitchen and a bathroom. The lack of air-conditioned was a concern at first but the fan in the ceiling did the job better than expected and kept mosquitos away. There's a minimarket very close and a bus stop right next to the GH entrance. I'd definitelly recomend it for families or small groups of friends looking for a relaxed place to stay with very good value for the money. Liked it so much I hope one day I'll be able to come back...

We stayed about one week at the Islander Guesthouse on Praslin. We travelled with another couple and rent the villa. A great choice! Very new, clean, simply beautiful with everything needed! The owners and also the staff were very friendly and lovely people, we felt very welcome and they fullfilled all our wishes! The Capricorn Restaurant offers a very delicious local food - fresh and perfect! Whenever we'd be back in the Seychelles, we definitely would stay at the Islander Guesthouse again! Many many thanks to Patric, Myette, Madeleine, Rebecca, Sabrina, Lina, Joseline and everybody else who made our stay unforgettable!!! Greetings and a big THANKS to everybody from the "always thirsty"-Swiss guys...:) Monika, George, Roger and Simone

Stayed for 5 nights. Liked the apartment, clean tidy and well kept. Very friendly and polite staff.
Only had breakfast which was standard fruit, toast and eggs but was very nice and more than sufficient.
From what we could make out the beach has suffered sever erosion and is now rather small and has a bank of granite rocks stopping further erosion.it certainly is not the beach being advertised on its own brochure which is a shame as it is such a lovely place.

directly at the beach (30m). The "double room" IS a 2 room apt. (sleaping room + citchen + bath + terrase). All very clean. Beach is nice, sunset. Walking distance to great Anse Lazio 35 minutes. Beach is sandy but may have some underwater rocks (carefull). With no waves shnorkeling is possible (swim 20 m to the rocks).

Room tip: Double Room = Apartment !!! (with self catering facilities etc). In the morning and evening some 2-prop planes starting (10 secondes noise!). Warm! Air condition available (8€ / day)
