This Gite is a must to book and stay in. It may look tiny from the outside but it’s like the Tardis on the inside. It’s also a very romantic place to stay while also being very peaceful, especially at night star gazing by the pool.
The Gite itself is perfectly decorated throughout & with lots of eye to detail. A lot of thought has been put into this and making your stay the best it could be.
It also has everything you need to make your stay comfortable but I’m sure if there was something you needed within reason you would only have to ask..
There is a lovely pool which is cleaned every morning by the the owner Lisa.
(I miss my morning chats with you Lisa while you cleaned the pool and my husband was off cycling. )
As well as sun beds by the pool there is a comfortable seating area there or you can sit outside the Gite in your own private secluded seated area. We were lucky enough to have good weather so had all our meals outside.

The Gite itself is in the quiet hamlet of Pleuville and not far from the town of Confolens where you will find your nearest supermarket.

With everything that has happened this last 18 months or so with Covid this is just what we were looking for and it didn’t disappoint.

Lisa the owner lives next door and is very approachable but will also leave you be if you just want peace and quiet.
Personally we enjoyed our interaction with her and any advice on places to go and visit.
Our communication with her from start to finish was by far the best we have ever encountered when booking a holiday & especially during a pandemic..

Thank you so much Lisa for making our stay a memorable one and we would definitely like to return again soon.

We came here to have some laid-back days and we are so happy we chose the Nid d’amour! It was the perfect place for us and we had such a great time here. From the lovely decoration and facilities to the pool it was downright ideal to enjoy the calm surroundings, the sun and especially the evenings with some good wine and gorgeous views at the starry sky.

Aside from that Lisa and Darren are amazing hosts and helped us feel at home the moment we arrived!

Thank you Lisa and Darren for a wonderful two weeks in your beautifully renovated gite. It was the perfect way to spend our first wedding anniversary and we really appreciated the personal touches.

The gite is in a fantastic location. Rural, but not too secluded (e.g. Supermarket and Confolens within 15 minutes). We had a welcome pack, which is lovely after the long drive. The gite is the best decorated place we have stayed in France and has everything you need and more. The bathroom is amazing! The gite's outdoor space is extremely private and the private swimming pool is perfect for two people (and not overlooked). The views are brilliant, particularly for watching wildlife. We saw so many types of birds!

We mainly relaxed and sunbathed, but there are many places to go and visit in the area. We went to the picturesque towns of Confolens, Ruffec, St-Germain-de-Confolens, and La Rochefoucauld. We also visited La Vallee des Singes, which is an animal park dedicated to monkeys which are in very natural enclosures without any cages (some free to roam!).

Pleuville France is a beautiful small hamlet. The Gite was absolutely spotless and total care and consideration had gone into decorating it. Beautiful new Bathroom with powerful Shower and SPA bath. Fab kitchen. The pool was lovely and warm and the pool area was very quiet indeed. The garden is a haven for birds and butterflies too. There is lots to see and do in the area. We drove out most morning when it was cooler and lounged by the pool in the afternoons. Will most definitely return. The owners are really lovely and they have turned this place into the most romantic little spot.
