I stayed here as it was booked by a business colleague. It is not somewhere I would have booked. I was initially a little dubious with it being an old building. The owners were busy when I arrived so I made my way to the room. On entering it was a little cold but I soon found that turning the radiators on warmed things up rapidly. It was a big room with some modern furniture and lighting in. I began to like the place once I had shut the blinds and warmed up the room. I would like to have spent some more time there as I only got a quick look at the gardens which seemed great. I also did not have time to visit the bar, which I would like to have done. I would be very happy to return and spend a little more time there.

Room Tip: I had an en-suite room at the top of the building. This made it quiet and I got a great view of the garden in the morning.

My clleague and I stayed here for 4 nights. We were made to feel very welcome and nothing was too much trouble. The bar is well stocked with beer and wine and reasonably priced. The garden was great for sitting in the sun with a cold beer after a hard days work. The rooms are large, very comfortable and quiet. Free wireless internet was provided. There is a lovely restaurant over the road, but book early because it is very popular, and the town centre is just round the corner.
If you are cycling, there is a bike shop just up the road too.
Breakfast in the morning is continental buffet style with plenty to get you started.
Over all: Simple, friendly, comfortable, good beer, good food and very convinient.
