Very Good Sunday Lunch, Plenty of Meat & Veg. Very good service that is both quick and friendly. Nice to see a pub that has many familiar faces year in year out

Whilst on holiday in St Agnes we stumbled upon this pub on our way back from a morning out. It was lunchtime and we were hungry so decided to go in.
We were greeted very warmly from the lady behind the bar, she kindly explained where the menus were, pointed out the specials board and invited us to choose our seating.

Our order was swiftly taken, we ordered the homemade lasagne, chips & peas and Ham,double egg, chips and peas. We both received generous portions and we both very much enjoyed the food.

The server was friendly and came over twice to check everything was ok.

So glad we took a wrong turn and found this place. Would definitely visit again if we’re ever this way again.

We had lunch there on Friday and Sunday.
On Friday they do a pensioners special 3 course lunch, amazing value and excellent food.
We had the sunday roast and it was brilliant, beautiful roast beef with all the trimmings, can't wait to go back there. Really friendly staff and excellent service.

Popped in for a quick lunch as it had been recommended to us. Traditional style pub with your average pub grub. It didn't offend or impress and did the job. Reasonably priced for what it was.

Now last time I went to this pub for food it was great and we had a lovely time. BUT this time was appalling.
We ordered our meal and was not told of the very long wait.
We waited and hour and 20 mins for our food. Only after about 45 mins we were told sorry for the wait.
When the food finally turned up some of it was cold and we sent it back. We were told that a chef had walked out on them. Well I wonder why. The waitresses were just horrible. Unfriendly and nasty.
So I wont be returning at all.
Can't say enough NOT to go here.
We went to the ship in Penterwan. Much nicer... total different experience.

yes these is mixed reviews on this place but just be warned you may wait for your meal and then be unimpressed by it when it turns up.
