A gem of an apartment in a gem of a location -- the perfect base for exploring the villages and vineyards of southern Tuscany. Wonderful hosts and warm neighbours. Would repeat the experience or recommend it to others in a heartbeat.

You cannot expect a European destination to be warm in January, but the welcome at Casina di Rosa is absolutely spot-on. We had not been to Italy since we stayed at this house in 2007 and the owners have made great improvements that we did not expect. This month is almost certainly "low season" for the village, with the restaurants nearby closed, which was a shame, but we still found good places to eat out when we wanted to and the local "Co-op" supermarket at nearby Paganico, met all our self-catering needs. The village is great to live in. You can get by with virtually no "Italian" but don't expect the locals to speak English. It is not commercialised and is a great location from which to explore Tuscany.

Gloria & Marcel are the best hosts! They will help you with anything, just ask. The village is charming and the people are so friendly. Apartment is just as advertised. We stayed 2 weeks and loved using the fireplace in the evenings and sitting on the porch for morning coffee with fresh bread & pastries from the 2 bakeries in town. This small town also has an excellent restaurant. It's well situated for seeing all of Tuscany and some of Lazio & Umbria, too. We would return again in a heartbeat!

A charming guest house with all the amenities you could ever need, including a large library of guidebooks. Located in a little village off the beaten track yet close enough to a major autoroute to get you to many other places in Tuscany in under an hour. The house is located in a quaint village, leaving you feeling like you are truly immersed in the culture of Tuscany! Our hosts Marcel and Gloria were fantastic to deal with. Their blog is so informative. The house was immaculate!! We will definitely be recommending it to friends and family who want to experience Tuscany at its best. This house, the village, the amazing restaurant within the village made our holiday exceptional!!!!

The apartment was very clean and had everything we needed for a cozy one week stay. The bed was comfy and there was plenty of room. We enjoyed sitting outside each evening, sipping wine, and waving at the neighbors having a stroll. The village was friendly and the restaurant and grocery store were perfect. Laundry machine was very handy. Would go there again, it is located great if you have a car and want to see many beautiful sights nearby, we found the location worked very well.
