Lovely stay!

Review of La Villa D'o
5.0 of 5 bubblesReviewed 8 May 2018via mobile
Beautiful and charming little hotel. Close to Bordeaux city and easy to visit the rest of the Aquitaine region from. Owner and staff are extremely kind - went above and beyond to help us. Property is stunning with lots of outdoor spaces to relax including a terrace with the room, pool, main breakfast terrace, etc. Recommend it!

Peaceful.
Looks better than on the pictures published on the website.
The outside areas are perfect.

Very charming welcome.
The lady in charge of the breakfast is very nice as well.

Very quiet for good nights of sleep.

Only stayed here one night passing through and wished we could have stayed for longer. The approach to the Villa is great, along a tree lined drive, and it is a most attractive building with a big gravel courtyard to the front. The rooms are exceptional and everything has been thought of. We ate here as we were too tired to go into Bordeaux and my only complaint was that the food was expensive and obviously pre-cooked, as there was no chef, the owner served us herself. However the ambiance and the setting were magnificent. I can imagine in the summer it is fabulous, with a big pool and terrace and those great views over the surrounding fields and forest. We even used the spa, which was really nice to unwind in, and someone else was using the gym next door. Would love to go back.

Room tip: Go for rooms in the villa if you can as they have the higher views.

All the positive things on the rooms and staff are true, this is a wonderful place, with a lot of luxury. One special recommendation: stay for dinner and be treated with amazing high quality. It is just a wonderful stay, very highly recommended

We were so lucky to have found this place while we were on our honeymoon. The staff were very friendly and attentive and the food, room and view were amazing. Unfortunately we only had one night at the Villa and wish we could have stayed longer. We ate out on the veranda for dinner while sipping Bordeaux wine which was delicious. It seriously feels like your living on a movie set and was exactly what we dreamed the French countryside would look like.

Thoroughly enjoyed our four night stopover as part of a multi-part holiday to Bordeaux and the Dordogne. After a long drive down it was a pleasant site to behold this charming house set in in a lovely parkland setting. The house sits in an elevated position affording views across the countryside towards Bordeaux and offers a tranquil base to explore or simply chill by the lovely pool with the most comfortable sun loungers I have ever experienced.
Dinner in the evening is spent on the lovely outside terrace and is a four course delight with the lovely Tiphaine in attendance.
Our bedroom in the modern annexe with its own small terrace was a bit short on space but still perfectly adequate and the bed most comfortable.
Getting into Bordeaux using the not too distant tram park and ride was practicable and cheap.
So if you are looking for small scale luxury phone up Emilie the owner and you will be extremely well taken care off.
