The hotel is located close to the beach, only about 500~600m or 8mins walk away. There is a mini-mart besides Big Blue Cow restaurant which is just 2mins away. However, there ain't many activities around the beach and SUP rental 600baht per hour inside The Slate compound which is relatively expensive compared to Bang Tao or other countries.

Had a pool access room and it was superb, the pool is long around 40mL x 3m. The management should install a temperature regulator or thermostat to maintain the pool at body temperature for swimming. The pool is too cold and seems no one is using the pool, probably too cold for a dip? Truly a pity.

A delicate touch by the management to add a swing at the pool access area but it can't be swing. LoL. A hanging egg chair would serve better purpose.

There was constant odour coming from the toilet's floor trap as what many had commented, would suggest the management to do something about it. Maybe to improve ventilation or add a glass door?

The hotel also offers a gym, reading room and free bike rental (available till 7pm), these provide hotel guests with alternate activities, thumbs up!

Breakfast wise, there are good varieties but all the food are not heated up, ended up being too hard and cold for the palate.

Ang Ku restaurant near the entrance serves palatable food and it has a relaxing ambience.

Would like to compliment staff at Proud Hotel, they are extremely friendly and adhering to high service standards.

Would definitely give a 5-star rating if not for some of the negatives.

I choose this hotel because of its acces to the airport and good score on TA. However, it was a bad decision We arrived at 8 pm but our welcome was very unprofessional. Nobody took us to our room so we were also lost on the way. I had to go back to the lobby because the door was not working. We also had to drag our own bagage in the rain. Other guest didn't get this treatment.

The room was not clean a lot of strange odours and dirty spots everywhere . The breakfast was average. I wouldn't choose this hotel. The staff was also very unfriendly. One person wanted to force me to sign a document without giving me time to read it.
I also added some pictures of the room. Choose wisely!

We upgraded to a pool access room on arrival and so glad we did.
The hotel was excellent and staff were very friendly and helpful especially Pui.
Breakfast was so diverse from cereal to sushi or rice dishes.
Only 10 minute drive from airport but you do not hear the planes. Beach is a 5-10 minute walk but there is a free shuttle bus from hotel which will take you down and collect whenever you want.
Beach is superb with various shops selling clothes and lots of excellent bars and places to eat.

Room Tip: pool access room on ground floor

Fell in love with this gem, even though it is near the airport, it is far from Patong roughly an hours drive. We are happy with Proud as Nai Yang beach is a hidden gem of Phuket... There are many amazing food shops and a night market just behind the hotel(not A tourist trap). our room has a private pool access which is amazing for a night swim. In addition, they provide us with amenities such as shuttle and bicycles that is complimentary for guests use.

highly recommended...
