It is not a 4 star hotel it's a five star hotel

we stayed three days in room 1510 (9 to 11 jan )
Excellent view! the room is big and cosy bathroom is very big toiletries are great in amount
The room came with 2 umbrellas
near to every beautiful things except the beach no drunk people :) but big swimming pool ...
I stayed in 4 different hotels in Thailand the most beautiful breakfast I had here in this hotel even if you need item not included ( open buffet ) just tell them they bring it for you for free
near shopping center .. Robinson ...watsons etc...everything opposite to it wonderful seafood restaurant
I must thank the hotel manager and staff because after we checked out we left our luggage for three days because we booked in a coral island resort so , we didn't want to carry our luggage through boat , they offer this advantage for free too :)

This hotel looks like it got stuck at some point between 1970 and 1980. Pretty sure it has nit seen a renovation since.

It takes about 40 minutes about 700 Thai Bath to get to this hotel from the Phuket airport.

The staff are overly attentive to the point of making guests slightly uncomfortable and they don’t speak great English. They do, however, make certain efforts to accommodate their guests' requests. The reception could not call a taxi for us but at least they let us use a call phone to call a taxi driver ourselves.

In November the hotel appeared deserted - we did not see a single other guest.

The room was quiet so provided an undisturbed night’s sleep.

The hotel looks bleak and imposing from the outside and as noted before pretty outdated on the inside. The rooms are generous in space and robust. However, decor, bathroom and technology left a lot to be desired.

Complimentary water and tasty omelette at breakfast were the highlights of our stay.

The hotel is located very centrally within Phuket town.

We also recommend that the hotel revise their fire safety procedures (putting a plastic bag on your head and running through fire is not a great idea… literally thats their suggestion…).

Overall, we do not recommend this hotel unless you would like a full Fawlty Towers experience in Thailand. The hotel does have some comedic value.

Room Tip: Corner rooms are bigger... but this doesn't really improve the experience...

For the Vegetarian Festival, we decided to book five nights in this majestic hotel...I don't know if the hotel gets a new coat of paint like its neighbour Metropole, but it looks great and beautiful. Like before, the check in was fast and efficient and we were given a non-smoking room at the 16th floor with good views of the sea. The room was big with twin beds, TV and everything a 4-star hotel could give. The bed was just right for a good sleep and the showers at the bathroom was easy to handle, only that the water could be made stronger for a faster bath.

The breakfast spread was not lavish but there were enough spreads for a good breakfast, even for vegetarians. And the view of the sea in the morning was an appetizer for an enjoyable meal. No breakfast coupon was required, we just tell the counter girl of our room number and we were allowed to enter the restaurant pronto!

Talking about free wifi - the last time we stayed here, there was no free wifi, but now they have in our room. The only improvement I would like to see is the ease of linking up. At the moment either because of the Telcom service provider, each time we enter our room, we had to enter the user id (including our phone etc) and password although we clicked that we wanted them to be remembered...Then the slip of paper with the user id and password was valid for only three days.

The location of the hotel is great. A short walk to old Phuket, a short walk to all the daily VF processions, a short walk to the Mee Ton Poe, a short walk to the Bus Terminal 1 which has direct buses to the Airport and Patong beach.....During the final farewell of VF processions, the noise of crackers and drums and the dusty air could be unpleasant for those staying nearer to the procession route. But being here is fine.

I thought it was the time when taxis and toot-toot were scarce and difficult to find. But there was a pick up point for taxis and toot-toot just outside the hotel. There was no problem of getting transport except that it can be a little expensive the drivers quoted...for example, going to the Airport was 750 baht.

Of course this hotel will be in the central of Phuket town and I like the way that every taxi known where is this hotel located and I do like my room indeed, when arrived but the room need the better clean and quite annoying with hotel wifi timeout and how difficult to make it work, breakfast buffet is OK lots of choice and good view and cafe at the ground floor. another thing you must do is ask about A day trip to islands around Phuket at the reception desk (before 10pm) which I find out on the day and they have a van to pick you up from the hotel to the boat and take you back to the hotel at the same day best trip for me.but if you want to go to Patong Town might need to use taxi at the front of hotel or ask the hotel but I walk around the area quite a experiences which you should try. after all the hotel is nice, huge gym and the pool in the same area with Sauna room and steam room & locker provided located opposite.

This hotel had a good location because it was located in Phuket town. I could walk to the old Phuket town just 5 minutes from the hotel. The breakfast was okay. The staff was so nice and helpful. The room a bit old. I like Thai food which had around the hotel. I found that this hotel had a fantastic gym with the high quality of equipments.
