It is definitely something worth seeing! The landscape is very unique, not to be seen in many more places in the world.

Was a long drive from Reykavik which luckily we didna few stops along the way otherwise 5hrs would have been mindnumbing.
It was dreary and raining when we got here and it was a bit disappointing in my humble opinion. Yes there was a lagoon and yes there was ice but it just looked lile broken ice swirling around a lagoon. The Fjallsárlón galcier a few miles before is much more worth it.

I imagined the icebergs would be bigger, but it was nevertheless an awesome sight and photographer's dream. The black beach just south of the lagoon referred to diamond beach is also spectacular.

We stopped before the bridge (the side without the tourist center) and I'm glad we did. There were SOOOO many people parked and walking along the other edge. The lagoon was very pretty. If you're a bond fan, you'll recognize the sites. We were lucky to see a lot of icebergs moving in the water. In my opinion there are a lot better stop worthy points in Iceland, but if you're driving by it's worth a pull-over to stretch your legs and see some icebergs roll by.

When you come around Ring Road and catch your first glimpse of this lagoon it takes your breath away. A definite "do not miss" site!!!
