We arrived to find a large car park with many spaces.

It was a warm day and they had plenty of seating outside,

The menu had a good selection.

The food did not take long to arrive and good size portions.

Prices were what to expect.

Will go again

The backdrop to this place is stunning as it is, but it's such a treat to end a walk here. The Boot Inn is a sizeable pub, with friendly staff, an even more friendly dog, a great selection of beer and a good menu. Portions are generous. Dogs are made very welcome. The loos are clean and neat, and the interior of the pub is almost as pleasant as the exterior. Really can't think of anything to complain about!

We were out walking in a small group of 7 people, we got to the boot at about 12:15. They have a huge car park, which was completely empty and lots of outside tables. We didn't want to eat because we had our own sandwiches. We foolishly thought that if we ordered coffee it would be okay for us to eat our sandwiches on the picnic benches. A man who we assume was the owner appeared on a balcony and berated us for eating our sandwiches on premises that sell food. We explained that we intended to buy coffee and thought that would be okay. He told us that NO it would not be okay and that we were very rude. Maybe if he is that upset he should put up signs, anyway we left immediately and thought about what he'd said. We could understand his point of view, but there was no need to call us rude, the place was empty and it's put us off ever going back.
