We had a very nice meal at Victy Beach Restaurant. The daily catch was squid, so I opted for fish and chips, as I’m not really a big fan of calamari. Others in the group ordered the Victy Beach Salad, and the Scottish Salmon. The fish and chips were perfectly edible though not any competition for really good examples of this dish. The salad was very nice, with lots of fresh greens, though a couple of the very large shrimp were a little mushy. There were lots of baby octopi in the salad, which some members of our group really liked. The salmon was excellent, though it seemed strange that something from so far away would be featured on the menu when we were right on the beach of the Mediterranean Sea. We enjoyed a liter of the house rose which was perfectly drinkable. The ambience of this place is excellent. Very low-key, casual, and unhurried. The man that waited on us was very kind, patient and attentive, though not over-bearing. It was obvious that he was used to people lingering over their meals. The setting is beautiful, with a wide open view of the small beach opening onto the sea. Altogether, a very memorable lunch.
