Our family (my husband, I and two kids) stayed at agriturismo Selvapiana for a week. We enjoyed very much the beauty of this place and the great warmth and hospitality of the family. Every evening we had the most wonderful homemade local dishes prepared with vegetables and honey and oil cultivated on the property. The agriturismo is located in the peaceful mountains with a beautiful view but the location is also good for visiting Florence which is just a little more than one hour away. We have traveled agriturismos for the last 10 years. This has been an outstanding experience. Here you find peace, relaxation great hospitality and will enjoy the unspoiled beauty of Tuscany.

This is a truly beautiful place with an amazing view of the Appennines and with unique peace and quitness. The family on Agr Selvapiana welcomes you with a fantastic hospitality and is ready to help, advise and guide on e.g. the area and on Tuscany as such. We should not forget to mention the high quality typical tuscan kitchen - the kids and we are looking forward to each dinner served at Agr Selvapiana. And looking forward to be back!

We spent 2 very enjoyable nights at this wonderful location while walking the nearby long distance path (the GEA). It was extremely welcoming and we were well looked after. The room was spacious and attractive and the food was excellent, with a strong focus on local produce. It's a relatively new project for this family and there's clearly much to do but the signs for the future are positive. For walkers on the GEA route, it's worth knowing that the short 54 path leads to a nearby road from which you should be able to arrange an easy pick up or drop off (we did!). Grazie Mille!

The farm is situated approximately an hour from Florence hidden away in the beautiful valleys of Tuscany. One cannot descibe the peacefulness of the place. It was an idyllic break. Our hosts, Mr and Mrs Venturi were warm and welcoming and attended to our every need. The rooms were rustic, but very spacious and comfortable. All food is prepared from the farm's own produce and wine comes from a neighbouring farm. All meals were very homely and would satisfy the most discerning palate.

My only regret is that my time on the farm was too short. I would love to return for a much longer stay.

Agriturismo Selvapiana is one of our favourite hidden gems. Far off the beaten track, we discovered it quite by chance a couple of years ago and loved it so much that we returned for a few nights as part of our holiday in Tuscany this year.

Reached in just over 1 hour drive from Bologna, the small farm is situated high up in a beautiful panorama of wooded hills in northern Tuscany. Run by Sergio and Monica, a lovely Italian couple who speak just enough English to get by, the accommodation comprises three en-suite rooms and a larger suite, each with its own private access from outside.

Evening meals come highly recommended. Monica makes excellent use of produce home-grown on the farm to make even the most simple dishes taste absolutely delicious. The nearby village is about 10-15 minutes drive and has a few restaurants, but we weren't really brave enough to tackle the steep & windy unpaved access road in the dark - though with such good food on offer at the farm there was really no need to!

All of life's stresses are soothed away swimming or reading by the pool, soaking up the tranquilty and uninterupted views. Agriturismo Selvapiana is the perfect place to relax and unwind for a few days at the start of a holiday before venturing further south to explore Tuscany's more popular wine regions and cities.
