HARRISON CAVE. In the middle of the island. Perhaps you will need to rent a car or a taxi. With bus is difficult but possible. Very expensive entrance: 30 US p.p. You will see an audiovisual of low quality. The visit of the cave is comfortable: seated in a "train" or car. Most of the time running in a narrow road, and seeing some caves or rooms, not really spectaculars, with estalactites. Only is worth if you don' know other caves around the world. Also if you are going with children. The Animal and Flower Cave, in the North, are much more amazing, and unparalleled, but slippery.

We have been 7 years to Barbados and never been here but recommendations meant we booked a half day tour .The caves were excellent with an introductory foyer you waited in until a 10 minute film of explanation before embarking on the tram tour .Good quality large golf buggy type tram takes you down the bottom if I remember cottectly 500 feet below sea level .There are many stops for camera shots and a well informed guide .Outside there's so gift shops and a small bar . The downside of the trip which was with Glory Tours booked via our hotel ,was the mix of ourselves and cruise ship persons . This was not about the individuals from ship but the fact that we had to wait in the minibus 40 minutes before being asked to get out and wait for 10 minutes whilst the driver went into port area to collect the cruise people before we rejoined the minibus and went to Harrison's cave . So ask first if it is a mixed clientele if it a concern for you .The driver was good and gave a lot of info both to and from the caves

My family and I greatly enjoyed the visit here. The cave was active so we did get a little wet. If we had known that, we would have brought a case for our camera. It was warm inside so no need for a jacket. We rated a 4 because we had to wait an hour and a half for the tour to begin. Also, the website showed they had a walking tour but when we got there, they only had a tram tour which cost $30 USD/person.
Suggestion, wear non-slip sole shoes because they let you get off the tram twice and walk around on the tram tour and the floor is wet.
Our guide was informative and friendly. There was a movie to begin but we couldn’t hear it. We also had a 30 minute delay one we got in due to a medical reason.
I still recommend the tour. If you have a long delay, I suggest you do what we did, take a drive up to the Highlands....nice view point.
