Visit the goat village on a regular basis, as works well for all ability skiers to get there. With regard to the variety of restaurants here, we cannot fault La Cremaillere, in the past have had good meals at the terrace, but the last time we went there the service was truly dreadfull! ( you cannot give a starter to someone who ordered a set 3 course meal then throw random food at them when they complain but still charge for what you didnt deliver!) This restaurant however delivered perfect meals, all be it a little slow as they were busy, the plat du jour was lovely, they have a great selection of chicken burgers which is different, good childrens menu & a good vegetarian menu which is rare in France. Well done, we were creatures of habbit but will visit this restaurant again!!

Le Chaudron was recommended to us by friends, and it certainly didn't disappoint. We sat comfortably outside at a table for 10, and each of us enjoyed our food very much - as well as some exceptional hot chocolate with Baileys! Our Roumanian waitress was ever-attentive as was the delightful owner who made us feel very much at home. Well done, Le Chaudron!

We ate inside on quite a busy day. Service was a bit slow at times, but friendly. Food was very good.

Le Chaudron visit 1:

We wanted to have lunch in Linderets so took a look at Tripadvisor and picked out Le Chaudron. Booked for 12:30 and arrived a few minutes early .
We received a very friendly welcome and were shown to a table for 6 on the terrace .
A drinks order was taken and our wine and children's drinks arrived very promptly a few minutes later. We ordered two beef carpacio's and two ribs which had been recommended on tripadvisor.
For the two children in our party we ordered from the excellent and well priced children's menu. The Beef Carpaccio's and the Ribs were amongst the best we have ever had and the children's two clean plates were testimony to the excellent children's food. After paying what we all considered to be a value for money bill we reserved to return for lunch two days later.

Le Chaudron visit 2:

Arriving back at Le Chaudron two days later once again we were given a very smiley and friendly welcome from the three attentive and pleasant front of house staff on the terrace .
Once again our drinks order was taken and served promptly. This time we tried the Burger Rossini, Burger Italian and Cheese and Charcuterie salad all excellent , once again the two children ordered from the children's menu and really enjoyed their lunch ( Chicken Nuggets & Fries for one and Pasta Bolognese for the other )which included a drink, a sweet ( or a chocolate bar) Our lasting memory of Le Chaudron is undoubtably one of good service, good food and a nice ambience. Remember to book as this restaurant was deservedly very busy.

Terrible service - rude and slow - and overpriced and poorly cooked food.
We had booked in advance an inside table but it took 25 minutes before we were even offered a drink as they were too busy clearing up empty tables and a total of 2 hours to be served a one course meal for 8 people. They forgot an extra drinks order (we gave up trying to get their attention to chase it) and then charged us for an extra meal we didn't have. The waiter was rude and moaned about the English when we complained (male, middle aged, blonde hair). My daughter's omelette was burnt and the potatoes in it were almost raw, she left most of it and they didn't even ask why. House red wine poor quality too, it's normally very good in this area.
If you find yourself in the goat village in the Lindarets valley then go to The Rhodos next door - fab food and prompt service with a huge smile.
