My husband and I stayed at Paresa for 4 days on the way home from our European honeymoon. The hope was to "decompress" after busy days exploring northern Europe. Paresa did not disappoint. First, our flight from Bangkok had to turn around mid flight due to a problem with the plane. We therefore landed in Phuket 5 hours later then was scheduled. There was no problem, the driver was waiting for us at the correct time with much appreciated cold bottles of water. We were met with cold lemon grass tea and towels when we arrived. We stayed in a cliff villa, which I very much recommend. The view was amazing. The pool was pristine. The villa was large with one of the most comfortable king size beds I've ever slept in. The food (although perhaps slightly expensive for Thailand standards) was delicious. Breakfast (which was included) was a la carte as well as buffet selections with fresh juice blends daily. We also indulged in their special pool side dinner which took place at the main pool after sunset. It was very romantic, we had a lovely time. It is VERY secluded. We often felt like the only people on the resort. The spa was divine (we had a couples massage). I was shocked to read that some people had issues with service, the service we received was impeccable apart from our final day. My only suggestion would be if you allow the front desk to schedule your transfer to the airport that you request they move it an hour before the recommended time. We called several times, however, no one came to drive us and we left for the airport 45 minutes behind schedule which lead to a terribly unsafe and frightening drive to the airport so that we did not miss the flight. This was, however, not enough to wreck our amazing time. The only down side would be if you were hoping to explore the local beaches/towns this is perhaps not the best place to stay as Kamala beach isn't necessarily the best beach around. The resort is very secluded and not included for pickup from some tour companies. You can, however, book tours directly through the concierge at the hotel. We found their prices to be comparable. But once you're in heaven why leave? The price is slightly high, but in our opinion was worth every penny.
