I don't know where to start. For a place that charges around 1,400,000 IDR/night, I was shocked by what we saw.

We wanted to believe that the bad reviews were just a few exceptions, but we very quickly learned that they are the truth about this operation.

When we checked in and were shown to our room, we noticed a very loud sound coming from outside. Once some smoke started floating around our door, we very quickly got out of the room and went to the other side of the "resort." As it turns out, they were fumigating the entire resort (which happens 2x/month as we learned). We were completely smoked off the property from the toxins, and when passing the front desk to leave we noticed the staff had masks on.

At this point, after the pesticides had settled, we went back into our room with an expectation that any and all insects within a kilometer must be dead. We were very wrong, as we found multiple trails of ants in the room. When we went up to the front desk to tell them, we found multiple beetles in the restaurant area that were at least 2 inches long but no staff members at the front desk.

We immediately decided we would cut our booking short and leave the next morning, until we saw the stains on the sheets and bugs in the bed. At this point, we immediately made a booking elsewhere and checked out without staying longer than just a couple hours.

Room Tip: Stay somewhere else

The setting of this hotel is simply beautiful. It is on the cliffs of Uluwatu between Blue Point and Pedang Pedang beaches within walking distance of both. It offers spectacular views of the cliffs and the ocean from the restaurant and pool areas and from some of the rooms. The free breakfast menu is small with limited options but the food is good and more than enough. They also serve lunch and dinner which is very reasonably priced but there is also lots of other very good dining options within a few minutes walk from the hotel.
The rooms are clean, spacious and comfortable with everything you need. The pool has lots of sun beds available and provides a perfect setting to just swim, relax and enjoy the view.
Staff are all very friendly and helpful.
Recommended.

This small property is excellent for short stay & walking distance to enjoy the priceless sunset view. Ulu cliffhouse, the much raved beach club is next door! High chance you'll get to enjoy the infinity pool alone when everyone goes surfing. You'll need to rent a motorcycle to get around as it takes a bit of walking to get food. There's no street lights leading to the hotel. Breakfast is nothing to shout about but fills you up.

You can't beat the positioning of the cottages. The view is spectacular. Quiet place, lovely gardens. Our first cottage was beautifully positioned looking over the cliffs edge to the ocean. Unfortunately the cottage attached at the back had their airconditioning unit placed right outside our bedroom window and the noise from this kept us awake for 2 nights . We asked to be moved and the staff were very helpful and we were moved the next day into one of the newer cottages which are beautiful. The swimming pool was another matter......The water was GREEN. My hubby went and complained to the staff that the water was dangerous to swim in !! We have a pool at home and know when a pools water is dirty. It was disgusting and could make someone very sick. The receptionist contacted the Manager and someone came round later that day to have a look at it. They threw loads of chlorine in it and told us not to swim in it until 10am the next morning. It was still as bad the next day. They should have put up a sign telling people not to swim in the pool. We were the ones telling people not to swim as we were worried someone would get very sick. This all happened on the Sunday and we got to swim in the pool on Wednesday but not put our heads in the water as the chlorine was to strong. By the time we left on Thursday it looked good. Very unhappy that it got into such a state and we spent nearly 3/4 days unable to swim !!! No signs were ever erected to tell people not to swim. This was very poor management in our view. Pools should be checked every day and not allowed to get in this state. Someone wasn't doing their job properly !!

This would have to be the most tranquil relaxing beautiful hotel we have stayed at in the Uluwatu area. The pool area and view is spectacular. The rooms are cottages and surround the pool area. The only downfall is you would need a bike if you stay here as it is a little out of the way from the main restaurants and shops. Would definitely stay here again
