Catch the shuttle bus from the airport and to high speed rail. Great breakfast.

Actually we had a short stay at this hotel back in Dec. 2009 after Grand Formosa Regent, Taipei. It happened to be a Grand opening of hotel at evening. We were urged to participate at evening reception by staffs. Foods, wines, music and more.. it was a great experiences with unexpected one. Staffs were friendly but seemed to be still processing of training.

Room seems to be small but bathroom glass is a killer will elevate to another level, one doesn't normally see. Lobby is the something one will amaze.

At my arrival my room was at 28 degrees, took more than 20 minutes to lower to an acceptable level. There was a small black beetle in the shower.
Breakfast in executive lounge was a disaster. Around 8 am, cold food looked dry an not fresh. Only creamy dressing, not the more healthy olive oil and vinegar. The hot food had been there for hours and was uneatable (specially the tomatoes). Even being the only guest the staff was not helpful at all and did not notice the problems immediately. Went downstairs to the normal restaurant but food was not much better. BUT in contrast food at buffet lunch and dinner (the same by the way) was excellent. Another thing about executive lounge is that out of the happy hours don't have any kind of little snacks or sweets which is so normal in other hotels.
They also did not do the check in (it was done on ground floor even if it was requested to perform it in executive floor) and as it has been mentioned the room was not ready to receive a guest. The software to use the TV is slow and difficult to understand, the remote controls don't work well. I think this Novotel should close the executive floor. In that way the customers that pay more won't feel they have been cheated.

Excellent location when flying in and out of Taiwan from Taipei. The service is excellent, and the rooms are comfortable, clean and affordable. The pool area is great for relaxing, and the massages at the spa centre are great after a long work trip. The buffet breakfast has a huge selection of western and eastern food. Yum!

As you know, almost the hotels near the international airport always provide eariy check-in for the travel's convience. The service is usually free of charge. I have the experience that requested for an early check-in at HKG Airport Marriot at about 9:00 A.M. and CDG Airport Hilton at about 7:30 A.M., the hotels very kindly provided the service and free of charge. However, Hotel Novotel Taipei Taoyuan International Airport asked for half of the room rate when I requested an early check-in at 10:30. So my family had to wait the check-in time until 2:00 P.M. We were so tired.
