this hotel has 2 blocks. the older block has a wooden touch. we stayed in the new block. none of the rooms in this new block has a lake view.but the room is spacious, net and with a clean bathroom. shower was good with hot water. they provide basic things like hair dryer, kettle. the nearest town is about 2 min walk away. they served wide spread of food for breakfast but mainly local dishes. i would recommend this hotel to those travelling in group.

Location is about 5 minutes drive from the train station ; 10 minutes to the town. Taxis is about NT$140 from the train station. On our departure, Hotel provides shuttle service to the train station. We had a family room for 4 ; comes with 2 queen size beds. Room is very spacious, everything is just great in the room which are well maintained. On a clear day, the mountain range is in full view - beautiful. Breakfast spread can be improved. Front desk service personnel are excellent in their service though most of them are not fluent in English.
We stayed two nights here. The rooms and common spaces were clean and new, the whole hotel has a sleek modern design. Nice-sized fitness room, although we never saw anyone else use it. Only negatives were that the staff wasn't very knowlegeable/helpful when we asked for local dining recommendations, and that the complimentary breakfast didn't have many Western options (plenty of Asian/Chinese foods though). The location was pretty close (10 minute drive) to the train station and the small local night market.
The hotel is new in hualien, so everything was nice and clean.
Room size is adequate and has 2 double beds. The room also has sofa, so it can be good for relaxing.
It is not far from hualien train station and the hotel has a shuttle to the station. You just need to book one day ahead for the shuttle. Not much around the hotel, since it is located among shophouses.
Overall, it is a good hotel for a short stop when you visit taroko gorge national park
