Nearly booked the Sheraton but decided to try this hotel due to reviews. Given the price I set expectation low, so was pleasantly surprised at the great service, and yes free ice cream, soft drinks available. No bar but There is a family mart next door and we bought a few beers which we enjoyed on the veranda in front of the hotel. Then went for the free evening buffet which was very yummy, especially if you like mushrooms.

A good indicator of a hotel’s quality is how they handle problems. In my case there was a mix up with a large package (bicycle box) mailed to the hotel for me to collect and the hotel paid to have it mailed to me in my home country. Staff was all exceedingly kind. Upon learning my train was leaving early in the morning a breakfast was packed for me and my family. I was impressed.
Beyond this incident, the hotel is an excellent family choice, with large rooms, an amazing six headed shower kids will love and ice cream available 24 hours a day free of charge.

Service is very kind hearted. Bedroom comfortable got a good night rest. Suppee provided +breakfast is sufficient. Hotel provided bicycle to travel save taxi cab if u are not travel far away can excerise at the same time.
It was the second time that we are staying in Kindness Hotel in Tainan. Though we checked-in earlier, the hotel staff was very nice and offered us a smaller room to wash up before letting us check in properly at the stipulated time for another room. The hotel is clean and comfortable, and provides daily breakfast and snacks from 6 to 10 pm too. There is also a laundry area that we could use washing machines and dryers as well. Though slightly off the city centre, we will choose Kindness Hotel anytime.

I traveled to Taitung for a business and my host institution arranged for us to stay at this hotel. Hotel was clean, orderly, and check-in process a breeze. While it is not located in the heart of the city, there were plenty of small restaurants and convenient stores within walking distance. The late night snacks and breakfast spread offered were also of good variety. Overall I had a pleasant stay, and would return to this hotel again the next time I am in Taitung area. Highly recommend!
