What a fabulous seafood restaurant Parlai is.
It's situated just past Phuket Zoo at the end of the road alongside the bay.
It's a big open restaurant undercover with comfortable seating and a view of the bay / ocean .Its a relaxed open and friendly local seafood restaurant.
The seafood is in big tanks and open cool cement holding areas. You select the seafood of choice and how you would like it cooked.
We had mud crab in pepper sauce, steamed blue swimmer crabs, mussels in a hot pot, steamed whole prawns in their shells, and fish. The salads were yummy as well.
It was beautifully cooked and so fresh. The pricing was reasonable as well.
It really was a lovely atmosphere to sit with friends feasting on beautiful fresh seafood with a lovely sea breeze it couldn't have been any better.
Another fantastic lunch in Phuket

Around lunchtime we accidently arrived at Par Lai Seafood. We were headed for Cape Panwa, but probably took a wrong road and decided to eat a little something now that we were here. Well, the location is super. Outside you're overlooking the ocean and inside it feels like being in the jungle. There are large basins with fresh seafood in the middle of the restaurant, but the menu, however, shows no prices for the seafood, so be careful. We ordered a simple tom ka seafood and asparagus with shrimps, but both meals were not very special. The coconut milk in the soup hadn't blended very well, so it
looked a bit odd. Don't think we'll ever take the wrong road again to end up here.

Most seafood do not have list price. I ask the staff how much for the fresh lobster and shrimp, they tell me $3500THB/kg for lobster and $2500THB/kg for shrimp. What the hell? Although the taste is not bad but the price is even much higher than that in Hong Kong. I think that if u look like a local residence, the price will be totally different. I drive about 1 hour to this place from Pantong and think that it is really not worth to do that. I will not go back again.

We had been at this restaurant some years ago and we did not have a particular memory.

We had been pleasantly surprised for the quality and already made repeated visits.

Good fried wonton, excellent seabass with soy sauce, very very good soft shell crabs with garlic and pepper, and so on.

The service is kind, the ambience is quite good and the location is very nice, at two meters from the sea.

The prices are correct.
