Delamere bungalows were a real find.

When all the other self catering properties in North Cornwall were inflating their prices into thousands of pounds, Delamere kept their prices at an exceptionally low and reasonable level.

The bungalows are very basic so don’t expect frills but for families with children they are perfect. All the basics are there: fridge with small freezer compartment, microwave, cooker, utensils and crockery, bath, shower and tv.

The beds were some of the most comfortable we have slept in on a self catering holiday.

Electricity is on a £1 coin meter and I put in around £4 per day but I had the heating on all night and the hot water and towel rail on regularly plus we used the cooker quite a bit.

Our grandchildren had a good time exploring the grounds around the bungalows and playing with the other children and for them, Delamere bungalows were perfect

Delabole is well situated for Boscastle and Tintagel which are both only a few minutes drive away. Padstow is only 35 minutes.

Room tip: Plenty of parking near the bungalows and the chippy in Delabole is excellent. Also, check out my review of the Bettle and Chisel

Thank you for the most wonderful stay, Absolutely stunning view to wake up to each morning and beautiful, well maintained grounds which are very safe for children to play out and plenty of walking routes to discover.
The bungalow is cosy, clean and equipped with everything needed for a self catering break.
Excellent value for money and perfect location for Port issac, Tintagel and local beaches.
Hosts very friendly and helpful.
Hidden gem.

We had a good stay at one of the bungalows - very peaceful with lovely views. We only had a very short visit so we could go to Tintagel and St Nectans Glen & was not far for us to travel to get there. Just sorry our stay couldn't have been longer the time went by too fast. We hope to go again if we are visiting this area of Cornwall. There were other families there but was not a noisy place to stay & nice to see the children enjoying themselves on the open area.

We stayed her in the first week of September in one of the bungalows on top the little hill. Can't describe how amazing the view is over the valley below and onto the next set oh hills, perfect for chilling out whilst the children played outside the bungalow on the sizable and well kept lawn area. It was very safe for the children, theres a big field for them to fly their kites and a maze like hedge to explorer.
The bungalow was quaint and provided everything we needed as a base to travel to other parts of Cornwall, beaches are 5 minutes away, Tintagel and Port Isaac about 10, Padstow 25 minutes and Eden Project 40. So it really is in the centre of everywhere you might want go! Will certainly be returning next time we travel to Cornwall.

Room tip: Ask for a bungalow at the top for the best views.

Just back from a weeks holiday at Delamre Bungelows, and we will definately be back! The setting is just so idyllic, with wonderful views of valleys and fields, and bunnies hopping about, and is just so lovely and quiet, you can enjoy a really long lay in, without any noise at all! The grass area in front of the bungelows in just ideal for the kids too! The first evening we were there, our 11 year old son, made so many friends, as it's so safe there, all the kids (and parents too) get together outside on the green and all joined in games of cricket, and football etc, and this happened every evening, was fantastic!
The bungelows themselves are simply furnished but have everything you need and very clean. On arrival there was milk in the fridge and a handy pack of info on things to do in the local area. The beds were comfy, kitchens well equipped, and the TV/DVD player very handy for quiet nights in!
Delabole is a really good base from which to explore, and we did some lovely coastal walks around Boscastle, and were very lucky to go accross the new 4 million pound bridge at Tintagel, and we visited Port Issac, and did some great bodyboarding at Trebarworth Strand, all within a 15 minute drive! Also, because the bungelows are just so affordable, we were able to eat out nearly every night! Can't wait to go back!
