After 4 weeks staying elsewhere on Paxos, we moved into the lovely Villa Lithia for two. It sits, along with its companion: Villa Orkos in a park like, private olive grove, above the beach of that name.
It is really the ideal villa as far as we are concerned, the only slight drawbacks are the very long and tortous sequence of lanes you have to drive along to get there; lanes which have variable quality of surface and, in one place, is threatening to collapsed down the hill! The other drawback is the aspect. It faces NE giving it splendid views to the Pindos Mountains but not a lot of sunshine out of the main, July/August, season. It is sheltered though and very private – it’s ‘companion’ – Villa Orkos is far enough away, with trees & shrubs between, not to cause concern. As it happened, it was empty during our stay. If you want to avoid the circuitous approach, there is an easy and direct walk down to Lakka. Not so easy walking, up-hill, back!
The interiors of these villas are very smart indeed, in something of a French style, with delicately painted furniture and complete with every gadget one could want. There is even a pair of binoculars! It really is super and we have tried to book it since, but it has always been booked-up! Remember to feed the cats.
