I stayed for one night at this place .
The view from my room was great ,you can enjoy the River Nile and hear the sound of water flowing.
The staff were so friendly and showed great hospitality .
The Nubian meals were awesome and the Nubian room style was great .
Maybe the only drawback is that there was no means of entertainment specially that I was the only guest at the hotel .
But if you were looking for a quiet relaxing stay then this can be your choice .

We had a fabulous experience and time staying at AnaKato. Chymaa the manager was amazing in helping and organising anything we wanted. We were two famillies travelling together with 5 children between the ages of 6 to 16. Every morning we had the most amazing breakfast served to us on the banks of the nile under the shade of a beautiful tree. We ate dinner twice in the hotel - delicious and lovingly prepared by their chef. Anakato has 3 levels of accomodation (at this point in time) and we stayed in the middle one. The location was good with views out onto the nile and lots of outside terraces. The area is quiet with a local nubian market down the road. It is taxi or boat away from central Luxor but an easy and enjoyable journey. Definitely recommend taking an open top tuc tuc. Our highlight was a bird watching boat trip at sunset with an excellent guide.

Facility is new and well designed , Nubian rooms .. with magical Nile view .
We stayed at Ankato KiKi .. which considerd the top level of accommodation in Anakato's rooms .. its also called "aljazeera" the island .. cos in summer it is fully serrounded with water.
Hospitality was great from the owners and the management team especially Chymaa Ghaleb who went extra mile in every aspect to make our experience a pleasant and unique one.
She invited us to her Nubian themed birthday which was so much enjoyed.
Access to the hotel is a bit challenging especially if you're planning for daily trips
It is advised to make a deal with a local driver which we have seen more convenient even than uber
The hotel provides transportation ,but a bit pricy
The rooms are simply designed in way that keeps you warm in winter and cool in summer.
Breakfast needs more varieties.
Rooms need to have TVs installed ,more rubbish bins and tissues.
A perfect placec to meditate and get lost in a book Infront of a magical nile view.
Definitely will visit it again.

My family and I had a great time at AnaKato. We had the opportunity to sit with Shaymaa, the manager, and just hearing how passionate the staff is about this hotel is something you don't see everyday anymore. You truly do get the traditional Nubian experience, please keep this in mind. If you are looking for a basic hotel that you can find at any part of the world, you're looking at the wrong place. If you are looking to immerse yourself in the Upper Egypt culture then please get a room at AnaKato. The food here is marvelous and this is coming from a true Egyptian. Highly recommend the chicken. If you can, also take a day to wake up for the sunrise. The view is absolutely gorgeous. A tip for future guests is to bring mosquito spray; it's worth it.

My first and last time. Over prived and not worth it. Would not recommend. The room is below average in quality. I had very high expectations for this hotel but was disappointed. My main problem was thay it was not worth the price at all!
